Will Depreciating 200-Series' Hurt 100-Series' Value?

I was in a Toyota dealer here in Peru last week and saw the price list for all of their vehicles. The 2017 200, gasoline v8 was $97,500.00 and they don't negotiate. For that price you can get 3 Hilux diesel crewcab trucks. Big difference from the US price of +/-85K.

Stick with the 100, less tech stuff to break, easier to fix at home.

Tax accounts for a chunk of that, no? I drove an '84 FJ60 in Peru back in the day that had a sticker price of over $24K, almost $10k above its US counterpart of equal vintage. But being basically cheap, I'll always be driving a 10-20 year old cruiser...

Toyota seems to make each new generation of the Land Cruiser LX uglier. I own hundred series and I used to own a 200 series LX 570 I sold the LX 570 because it was just too damn ugly and road like a Bentley

It really doesn't matter, because I'm still more likely to buy another 100 series and I'm not selling the ones that I already have.

200 series are not rare in Montana. I see them all day long here in Bozeman. Lots of 60 , 80 and 100 series as well. I work for the street dept. so I drive around town a lot.
