Clutch stays. I will try to load the part that makes the difference. Without this the drive shafts need to be worked on. This adapter is where the 5th gear is housed also attaches to the TC.

pasnkhunter said:Got mine from cruiserparts.net ($1850 shipped to me). They included the 5th gear oiler and cap for the shifter! You will see where the oiler fits on the trans. side of the transfercase, snaps in.

The H55F uses a different shifting mechanism on the top of the tranny than the H42 so it comes complete. Some have reused the 4spd shifter by forcing the round bushing onto the shifter end. I can see how it would work, kinda. But the H55F shift end has a ROUND end with the bushing fitted over it. With all that other expense get the 5spd shifter and use it as Toyota intended...Boston Mangler said:for those of you that bought these from vendors or dealers, did they come with the top shifter plate, or is the 4spd one reused?
