Sorry guys but I have to ask- does anybody know who owns this fine Troopy in Boise. I saw it a couple of months ago at our local 4x shop. The guy at the counter knew very little about it, but thought the owner had imported it from the middle east. It is very nice!

First time posting pics so please bare with me.

Sweet indeed. I didn't look it over too hard because it was sitting out front of the building and the guy at the counter wasn't really hot on me checking out. But from my brief once over I can tell you that it was CLEAN.

I don't know what they were doing to it, but based on my neighbors experience having them work on his 55 and my father inlaws experience having them work on his early Bronco I wouldn't let them work on my classic. I do think they know how to bolt on a pretty mean TJ or Superduty lift kit though :grinpimp:.

Pretty sure that's the same storied but sweet Troopy which was for sale in Portland and on EBay unsuccessfully more than once several months ago.
A thread here, but I don't think this is the only thread on Mud where that truck appears:

Looked great but seller was a high-end sports car dealer (Lambo, Ferrari) that wanted $40k and it had some potentially questionable title documentation related to its age at the time of import.

Thank you that thread was an interesting read. Appears to be the same Troopy. I'm surprised they got it through the DMV here as they can be a real PITA.

Not the same truck that was at Grand Prix Motor Sports in Wilsonville OR.

Though nice.

An architect that I used to work with showed that to me one day at work (on the Lambo site)..said a doctor that his wife works with had just bought it. This was back in Feb. I haven't talked to him about it since. I'm pretty sure it's the same one. I told Jim (the architect) to let the Doc know, when he tires of the Troopy that I'd be happy to take it off his hands.
