Who made this bumper?

This is unbelievable. Coming from a guy who had a car stolen and stripped to zero. This whole story is awesome.

Glad you were able to get that bumper back to him and you found it at all.

^^ A, There's your answer.

L, I want to thank you for the correspondence with Mike and I both. Takes a true stand up man to do this. I make 80 products so just let me know what you're interested in and I'll work with you to make it good for you!

@MBurroughs you got some good juju brother.

If you two need anything, just let me know. Thanks again guys!

Jason

Weld a # in a inconspicuous spot to know what is yours? Just an idea.
It's what we do with our fixtures at work. If you pick a good spot they might not even be able to grind it off (inside a channel).
Additional Cost is negligible.

Definitely sounds like a chop shop. Steal the vehicle... take it to a garage, strip what they want and then go abandon the vehicle elsewhere. Fully welded.. wouldn't have stopped these guys sounds like.

I hope the meeting with the detective goes good fellas. Shut these pricks down for good.

J

It's all in the detectives hands now. Few pieces to borroughs truck and it will be back as he had it.

All good ideas, but I think your best bet is to make, as hard, as possible for these sumbiches, so they don't take your rig in the first place......

Kill switches....

Once is gone all bets are off....

My rig had a kill switch and GPS tracker. And my 80 series was never seen again. The guys that did it put in on a tilt tray and covered it will a metal tarp off some sort to stop the GPS and put it in a container to send it over seas.

^^^ I hear yah....
If they want the rig bad enough they will take it, but I still say give them hell....

Sorry I've been so slow to reply, boys. It's been a wild two days, and I'm not even sure where to begin. I was going to not say anything until the police work was done, just in case the thieves are reading here, but since the news it out, it's out.

I have to say - this community has been amazing and unlike any other I've been a part of. Thank you to ALL of you for the support and helping to recover these parts. The truck returning to me was truly surprising, but seeing the bumpers again just leaves me in awe.

Linh - @usdm - is a truly standup man. Words can't express my gratitude for what he's done to help me get my parts back to me. It'd have been easy for him to disappear and sell the bumpers off to someone else, but instead - not only did he make contact with me and arranged to get me my parts back - he went out and bought new hardware, and helped me reinstall the parts right there in his driveway.

It's easily one of the most compassionate, touching things I've experienced in the world of automobiles, and I truly hope someday I'm able to pay the same favor forward.

Jason - thank you again for playing a crucial role in the recovery. Without you, the bumper may never have been ID'd, and who knows where we'd be today.

I've been in contact with the police/detectives, and we're working to send these assholes to jail. As far as I can piece together, this chop shop poses as a scrap yard, and they were in on the theft to begin with. Here's hoping some other members of the offroading community can get their bits and pieces back as well.

Again - thank you to this community - to all of you. Linh - you're a gentleman in every sense of the word. You've earned a friend and a fan.

As for the truck... it feels great to be one step closer to whole again. The bumpers are pretty banged up, but I suppose that means I can not worry about that extra bit of recklessness.

To any future customers - words can't express how great it has been to work with and communicate with Jason - I'd give him my business again and again, and although he had earned a supporter after my initial purchase, I'll be singing his praises for years and years to come.

Enough of a rant.

Thank you all, genuinely.

Mike

Did @usdm get back the money he spent on the bumper? I'm in for a reward fund if not!

Awesome to see the mud community get together and make this right! Anything I can do to help out I'm in!

I completely reimbursed @usdm for what he paid - it was the least I could do. Hopefully I can get my money back from the theives when the case is closed, but if not, I won't lose sleep. Gotta do the right thing, especially when someone like Linh steps up to the plate like he did.

Mike ponied up what I was out from the seller, hopefully I can get a refund from the business I got it from to reimburse Mike and we will be pretty close to whole, save a couple parts and time. Off camping with my kids, it's been pretty nutty but I am glad I can do my part in bring resolve to a crappy situation.

Ladies and gentlemen, it can be an ugly world out there, but the people in this thread, in this forum, and in this community, should remind us all that humanity is not lost.

A special thanks to @reevesci , @usdm , @MBurroughs - you're champions to this community and a model for all.

I guess some of the 80 guy's are OK after all!

To all involved, thank you. Outstanding conclusion to a nasty situation. I continue to be impressed by the level of participation both on this forum.
