GM doesn't use aluminum blocks, nor electric fans, in their HD work trucks (2500/3500)

Not sure why I got to say this or ask. However it’s disrespectful to clutter up a build thread with opinions or chatter. Especially when it is a business posting the build thread.

See #1 I do build threads to promote my business and #2 a build thread is just not really the place for this type of chat.

I hardly post my opinion at all on this forum. I also hardly post outside my build threads. I don’t care for the banter, my opinion is right and all that kind of crap that people post on the forum. To me that belongs in Facebook or twatter or other lame social media.

I don’t have to post build threads. It does take effort to do them. Please respect my time and effort and go post your opinions and spam elsewhere.

Kick ass work man, ignore all that other static, I wish you could make my engine bay look like that. I am not all about the bling BUT I would be inclined to PC the shroud and leave that big shiny intake tube big and shiny!! Something that has to cleaned with windex and could check your teeth in.

Painted where we did our engine and transmission mount work. Ready to drop the LS3 back in on Monday.

80-series “shop” mock up booster and master, we like it so ordered new. Proportioning valve is obviously for rear brakes.

So here are our engine side hard mounts. These tie into 80-series rubber-vulcanized mounts on the frame side.

I suppose that makes these LS3 to 80-series to 60/62-series mounts if we were to produce them. I am not seeing a large market for these !

I am happy with this, we could do a little wet sanding if we really wanted to blend it. I just brushed this off with my hand as well, it’s not even wiped with a clean cloth yet.

The marks seen around the steering box bolts are simply masking tape sticky-glue and will wipe clean with a wax & grease remover.

What color or material did you use to match?
When I was trying to match color and sheen years ago I found ace had a very close sheen.

We are using a 2k epoxy primer and POR15 top coat in chassis black.

Mock up all done, LS3 came out with trans/tcase, finished welding out on swap parts/areas, paint welding-fab areas and reinstall LS3/6L80/tcase for the final time.

We are going to adapt the OG FJ62 442 trans shifter to run the 6L80. This was the owners preference vs going with an aftermarket 6L80 shifter such as a Lokar.
