The owner really wanted to stick with an OEM look for wheels and tires. No aftermarket wheels or big 315’s like seen earlier were on the menu! We talked wheels getting fresh chrome or powder coated fake chrome. This after getting two of the five wheels straightened. He picked fake powder coated chrome. We also fairly obviously went with 33x10.5r15 BFG KO3’s. It’s the good classic stance and look, the suspension will also settle 1-2” over the coming months.

Cheers

As per the customers request we have set up the 6L80e trans on the OEM FJ62 transmission shifter.

In addition to this we have also selected to do an aftermarket switch to control the 6L80e in “sport mode”.

I guess we should sort this old school “Overdrive” sticker to finish it off!?

This CRUISER is sure shaping up to be one awesome…..”sleeper”.

🤷‍♂️

My "Overdrive" emblem looks EXACTLY like that from years ago.

Just about done and ready to send this Cruiser home.

We pulled the parabolic leaves, way too stiff. We replaced with the lowest weight Terrain Tamer leaves that we then removed multiple leaves from to dial it in. It rides awesome now!

We are tuning the transmission next week, I don’t like the out of box tune on it. Doing a big detail on the body and that’s it, the Cruiser will be ready to go home.

Cheers

How many miles did you put on the parabolics? I was told by TT that they needed at least 500 to fully settle. I agree that they are too stiff for an aluminum LS though

Over 600, the rears are the stiffest. We put 420lbs of sand bags on the rears for a week and 150 miles and it did nothing.

Incredible build. Love the attention to detail and keeping some things stock and upgrading the drivability. She is a beauty.

This is original paint! Chrome too!

The hour or two we spent with the owner and his wife (wife loves this Cruiser as much as husband btw) this morning, both were nothing but smiles ear to ear! That’s what it is all about for us! 😎🤌
