A few other 40's made it to the desert... @rockcod in the blue hardtop. @landcrusher909 in the camo rig drove out of his two wheel entertainment...

I say 74 because it was the first year with the rectangular taillights, first year for factory roll bar, first year of the plastic Land Cruiser emblem on apron, and last year for those front doors.
Sorry for delay, YES on 74!!
The "Bootheel" of NM is some strange territory. Army stationed in "new" Hachita to chase Poncho Villa into MX 100 years ago. Some of the characters from the OK Corral saga smuggled and rustled here.

Now there is a place called Windmill that makes windmill blades, a mysterious "training center" where the Playas used to be, more Border Patrol trucks than flies, old ranching/farming families, and LOT of Dark Skies! My friend had a Turkey Tag but good luck finding a tree out here.

We only got one "You boys lost?!" all week, LOL.

That is amazing country down there. We roamed around there for a week a couple of years ago. Want to feel lost, want to feel lonely, want to feel Ike if something bad happens you are on your own and miles from help? Then head to South New Mexico, just north of the boarder. @dazerb thanks for bringing back some good memories.

Last cruise with the BJ42 for this year, before flying back to Germany: some 10 km/6 miles inland from the Peloponnese coast.

Merry Christmas Mud brothers and sisters!

Love the tall skinnys!

Thank you @centerlineseal and greetings to Idaho!
Maxxis MT753 in OEM size (for Europe): 205R16 (29 inch). Tyre seem to be quite popular in OZ...

PS. Not easy to find old school look radials nowadays, at least in Euroland. Think I have to inform the existing thread...

Wow! Just fell in love with this. Tells a story standing still.

Drove to the dentist yesterday morning. On the way home the 2F developed a miss that got worse by the mile. It felt like 5 cylinders, then four, then 3, by the time I got it to the driveway and into the garage I was lucky to be doing 10 mph. It idles, very rough. It tries to accelerate, but just doesn’t have any power. Spark plugs 3,5,6 were wet. I idled it without the valve cover, all the valves appear to be moving normally, no scary noises. I had these symptoms once before, it was just a burnt out set of ignition points.
