I didn't think Alu-Cab made a top for an 80. They don't seem to show one on their site.

Yes, I did a 3/4 cut and left the sunroof access intact. I originally was going to go with a CampTeq but I decided (for personal reasons) that I would use an Alu-Cab ( the pioneers of this conversion on Land Cruiser and Land Rover platforms, with Andrew St Pierre White's concept and design ) and did it for half the cost.. more room, sunroof access and proven Alu-Cab quality! The best part is I got to design it myself. In fact I can't say enough good things about Alu-Cab as they are standing behind my conversion and are even sending me a Shower Cube (warranty item) to attach to the passenger side for my shower system.
This is actually where I got my inspiration from. really cool build!

Cool. Can you post pics of your conversion to directly mount the Alu-Cab?
That is crazy... seeing the trees with all their leaves still on under the snow. Have fun down there. (This makes me excited for fall around the corner)View attachment 2055041

My hammock on the left.
Cleared about 6 trees off the trail with an axe. Heard tree limbs breaking under the weight of snow constantly.
Loads of fun!

Yeah, it's definitely a different winter landscape then you guys get.
Even in our alpine area, we have only Snowgums whichall keep their leaves during winter. No native deciduous trees at all in Oz.
