Here's some "light" wheeling from last summer. Pretty easy trail at this spot - it got more difficult further ahead - but there was a drainage cut that stuffed my front tire.

I actually like that ugly ass color a lot. Lol Maybe it’s just me but ugly on a land cruiser is right.

Ooof…
Thank a PO long ago for the s***ty single stage respray. That’s why I call it the tomato truck. Hey the door sills are still Freeborn Red!

Rusty trucks can go anywhere! 😁

Now this is why alloy wheels suck. Steel for the win
Yes Sir. And that’s why I like them too @MoaByte

That wheel is actually an old school Jackman that I bought for my 40 back in the ‘70’s. Time to retire those old 15 inch wheels tho. More tire choices in 16-17. Unfortunately my BFG’s have got a lot of tread life left. But…when I do get larger wheels, they will be for sure steel.🎯

i know , old, but i like that 1/2 door set up 👍
Haha, they were fun. I sold that rig to a guy on here with a green stretched 40. My daughter in this pic is 17 now lol. I be been running a 40 for a little over ten years

Yessir keep it real with steel!
Sidebar…worked at Discount Tire back in the day, we had a big bead tool that would reshape and bend the bead back into place on steelies. Used it a lot.

Had several leaking tires on alloy wheels…tires were fine, air was bubbling through the cracked wheel body. I hated seating the bead with high perf tires on Al rims. 💥

Don’t know for sure but my guess is they won’t do that any more due to liability reasons...maybe??

That wheel as it is pictured, I drove it home from wheeling that day…about a 4 hour drive. I have now actually beaten that wheel back into submission & could get it mounted again. Probably won’t do so tho as I am looking to buy five 16” wheels soon.

Jackmans were/are good wheels, but i like BFG Muds and sometime it difficult to locate them in the size I run. So 16’s are in my near future.👍
