Started replacing some of the hose in abd around the carb today and snapped the nozzle on the black side of this doohicky. You guys know the name so I can order a replacement?

That is a VTV, it flows freely from black to green and with restriction from green to black. Basically it just delays the choke breaker pulling on startup.

edit: Found a used one on cruiserparts for $15 plus $9.20 shipping. That'll teach me to be a bit easier on the old plastic pieces.

It helps to cut a slit along the tubing where it connect to the ports before you pull them off.
I would use some JB kwik to repair all those nipples I have broken over the years. Unless you are buying new they are all brittle and at risk of breaking.

Yeah I thought about that but nipple actually crumbled to pieces. Learning lesson for sure
You can run without it, no problem. Won't effect smog (except when cold, maybe).
