Yes, the TLR has awesome torque and sound! Of all the bikes I've owned I think that's my favorite, just because of the engine. I just sold it a few weeks ago and I'm wishing I hadn't. :frown: It was a little too heavy and handling was a little weird, but the engine quickly makes you forget those things.

Yup. I would like to find a nice non "S" SV1000. I know the motor is somewhat tamer than the TL, but I am addicted to that grunty torque. There are lots of SV1000s and some SV650 standards, but the SV1000 standards seem hard to come by. I know they weren't that popular, but they are just what I am looking for. Affordable too.

Yes, I know that :princess: should've been wearing a helmet, and will in the future. She was just checking out how slow and easy it really was with the throttle stop turned in to what I deemed appropriate... when it started going she looked surprised and took it for a loop around the parking lot at the track... came back with a big grin. (AFAIK this was the first time that she'd ever ridden a motorcycle)
she's now raring to try out the chinabike :D

got :princess: out for a ride last weekend
first solo bike ride, she did great... numerous stalls due to lack of familiarity with the controls (despite being a lifelong driver of standard transmission vehicles ), but she kicked it back to life herself every time

It's a kickass bike. I ride from work (Moses Lake, WA to home Vancouver, WA) every other weekend to see the family.

I'll take the direct route home, and the twisty, mountain, dirt, etc way back to Moses Lake.

Neat but for what purpose has that frankenstien been made?

hill climbing. but up here there aint much hills, it was done as a see if it can be done.. a sled engine in a quad. i just picked up an electric start for it so no more thrown shoulders trying to fire this beast up. she shoots dirt roosters for a good truck length when you lay into her. just another toy that collects dust

I got this a couple of weeks ago, 2002 Honda XR650L. Its great fun although the carb needs some work to make it idle right.

Not my garage, but my 1972 Trident T150V (5-speed). My first street bike, ever. 10,000 original miles, matching numbers, all receipts back to new. I'm the 3rd owner - the last owner had it since 1973. Just tweaking a few little things then we're good to go.
