This isn't supposed to happen at 10lbs when the radiator cap is rated 13lbs. In fact, this may explain the accumulation of a little coolant at the bottom of the A/C compressor.
So, as of tonite: New Koyo A1918; from Go-part.com, $257 incl. shipping from Sacramento, CA. I received a Koyo box, and the rad fit just fine. OE was the copper core; the truck had an Aluminum/plastic radiator. I happen to like Aluminum ever since I put one in the Blazer and everyone said it'll spontaneously combust - that was 10 years ago, and it has not... so we went for the Koyo A1918 instead of the C1917.
And: auxiliary electric fan removed from the truck for now. I don't like those mounts that go through radiators or condensers. Haven't put the grill back in order to take a look-see tomorrow how a bracket could be made to hold that fan close to the condenser without those zip-tie mounts.
