Just finished desmogging the 3FE. Well, atleast the engine anyways. Still have to take the cats off, or gut them. Up in the air about that.
Andrew, thanks for that block off plate! Works great! Owe you a couple beers!

Oh yea. That extra power is amazing lol. It does make it idle smoother like I read. Plate looks really good, and does it's job. Removing the valve cover is definitely essential to putting the plugs in where the air injectors were.Cool. How does the block off plate look? Post up a picture if you get a chance. I made a few and was thinking about posting them up for sale...Just havn't got around to trying one out myself. Oh, and don't forget to hold on tight when you unleash that extra 1.236 HP!![]()
Looking good.
Rattle can or a gun?

Speaking of air injectors, those things are disgusting. 3 out of 4 where severely blocked, with the closest ones to the air pump being almost completely blocked.
Will post up a pic of the plate later when I get a chance.
I don't think this will end up looking perfect, but I'm looking forward to having a truck that looks good from ~10 ft again.
Interesting. If you put our trucks together, you have a complete de-smog, since my cats are removed.
IIRC, your truck probably has space for a dual battery setup now. I beleive the battery box from a FZJ80 bolts in on the driver side with the smog equipment/lines removed.
It'll look good until the next time you ride with me! lol
There's still some stuff in the way on that side. There's a pipe with a fan that blows are in after the truck is turned off to cool it down. That could be removed though. Once that's removed there's probably enough room. No desire for a dual battery setup, though it might be the prime spot to mount my air compressor should I decide too.
Right now, I got some loud bangs every once in a while. I just don't want to start chasing problems on my jeep as well. I am going to pull the skids and quiet down the radiator and see what happens. I also need to tighten up the e-brake or replace all together. I have never worked on that so I will probably be on you tube checking things out tonight. I almost feel like I should have kept it stock and I wouldn't have these problems.

That is it, I am checking my droop. LOL
