I have a spare 22R/RE long block that is mostly there, but it's just taking up space now. Is it worth anything as a core? Do places like LC Engineering or other rebuilders take them? I know the cylinders in this one are a little out of round, and the head has been decked once. I've scavenged a few parts off it, but otherwise the important stuff is there.

My other idea is to make an end table out of it. :bounce2:

I think if you toss some leg supports on it that looks like a good height for a really heavy shop stool lol

Toss it up in classifieds and see what happens.

Top Gear on BBC has a V8 or V10 block with no pistons and some lights under It and a large piece of glass on top. It is really cool. You could strip the block and do something similar.

A motor-machinist I used to work for gave people ~$150-200 for a 22r/re "core". Might be worth looking in to?
