Almost got this thing squared away. Got it out the workshop and gave it a wash to get all the dust off.
Had the carby rebuilt and was best thing I did, runs smooth from idle, and pulls nicely thru the rev range.
Had put a supposedly new radiator in but the drain plug leaked, not from the plug but wasnt welded properly around the actual threaded metal section.
Bought a new one from Terrain Tamer and will get the other fixed as a backup.

Got the jump seat to finish off , a bit of wiring to tidy. Want to make a storage box for passenger side in the rear and be almost done.
Got a factory air con to fit at some stage. Got the compressor mounted but the rest can wait till more funds materialise.

@Rivalduke who makes that rear bumper?

Literally spent all day putting the top & doors back on. Crazy how things just don’t line up the way it did last time.

Not much work on the truck itself, but I did get some cleaning and organizing done in my shop today.

Getting ready to start riveting the rain gutter and fiberglass top back together.

It's amazing to me how fast time passes by b/tw the days during which I can get some work done on the truck. Glad the Solstice has passed and we're heading back into longer days, ever so slowly.

Decided the weather was too nice to work on it, so I went on a drive.

Pulled the trigger on what I now realize I should of done years ago to get rid of the constant fumes from the 5.7 tpi V8:
I had catalytic converters added to my exhaust system. Gary at Mighty muffler worked his magic and installed 2 Magnaflow cats where my mufflers used to be and a large free flowing Magnaflow 2 in & 2 out large single behind the rear axle. Also extended the outlets and a little more angle rearward and slightly down.
It has a nice deep tone at idle but everything above idle is even quieter than the previous set up and I don't have to keep a window cracked for fresh air.
This engine was originally designed to run with cats when it was in the early 90s trans am. Even when it's cold there is virtually no odor coming out of the exhaust. LCP would call it "wife approved"
It was never fun to come home and have my clothes and hair smell like fumes. As you can see Gary added extra hangars for me to help keep everything secure against repeated bouncing and vibrations from four wheeling.
