I performed a compression test on Lamar's 50 year old F:
#1 = 140 psi
#2 = 140 psi
#3 = 138 psi
#4 = 142 psi
#5 = 130 psi
#6 = 142 psi
I was a bit surprised the values were so consistent. According the the FSM, as long as the lowest pressure cylinder measures >90% of the highest, it's in spec. Original psi was supposed to be 150.I don't know if it was the correct test for my issue but I'm still trying to figure out how I get gasoline in my crankcase and blow small amounts of motor oil out of the filler tube.
