Did my passenger seat

Got my passenger seat done. Not as nice as Aatlax but it only cost $40.

Love those tires!!!

Mounted up my new accessory ( still need to do something with that rattle can camo) and my son and drove up to blue ridge res for some fishing had a great day but saw a new fire starting just as we were leaving, hopefully not a bad one.

On the way home the belt went bad. Did not break but stopped turning what it was supposed to. My fault no, spare so I kept driving watching gauges closely, barely entered the normal range for temp ( it is always just below) and so long as I kept er ~ 55mph on the free way never budged. Oil and all was fine, so I drove the last 15 miles with an air cooled engine. When I got home I wanted to make sure I did not have a bad temp gauge so I pulled my laser guided thermometer and checked around the block. On the distributor side, 190-195, on the exhaust side 195-230. These rigs will never cease to amaze me.

Spent most of the day stripping off all of the old door weatherstripping, scrubbing and scraping off the old adhesive, found a couple of rust bubbles on the bottom inside of the door under the weatherstrip.
Scraped, sanded, rust converted, primed and repainted the doors bottoms and installed new OEM weatherstripping from Cruiser Corps. OEM weatherstrip fits like a glove and looks great.
It's going to take a few days to squeeze down the weatherstrip so that I don't have to slam the doors shut.

I fabricated this light bar and installed the KC's! Also installed the modified skid plate. Also put together this bombproof IPOD holder that mounts securely to my 2" roll bar! The skid plate is a Downey 1/4" thick plate steel. Had to do lots of mods to get it to fit, but overall is a great canvass to start with. The IPOD is encased in a CNC machined billet aluminum housing. The clamps are 2" aluminum. I am thinking about producing and selling this set up so let me know if you dig it!

Nicely done, Except I would concider using other straps. The one's you use now tear up real fast if the get damaged, which they do easy.:hhmm:

My vehicle looks great from the outside but under the hood and inside, not so much.
Sanded, primed, and painted under hood. Pulled the seats out to start the inside work.
Maybe THIS is why I smell fuel every time I fill it up....?

I didn't give up after an annoying time with the DMV, for some reason they didn't like that my 79 had been passed through 4 others before reaching me and none of them bothered to transfer the title or register it:bang:
I gutted the old brittle wiring and and plan on starting it up this weekend to check out how it runs, It has not been running in two years
Don't know where this is going or where I will end up:hhmm:
