Looks good! Where did you get your seat covers from? I’m going to do mine at some point within the year I hope.
PO installed them but I’m pretty sure they were from CruiserCorps. I believe the headrests have never been redone as they are faded (but no cracks). The seat covers have held up fairly well, but I did notice a small crack on the side of the driver seat the other day but it’s hardly visible yet unless you really look close.

Here in Europe we have 16” wheels as original and the original tire size is Imperial 7.50-16 in metric only numbers 190/100-16, the nearest is 235/85-16
Though I have a set with 17” wheels I like to have for show off and thinking of 305/65-70-17 maybe 🤔 what do you think guys?

I think the 16" wheels and tires look good, but I like the tall skinny look.

Nice looking truck; you have done a great job with it!

I agree, 16 inchers look great. I have the US 15 inch wheels, so I’ll just run those on 33s for now, but 16 inch with 33s would be the best.

Got the power brake booster installed.
Need to get a 10x100 die to thread the linkage to the brake peddle.
Also need to find my flaring tool to extend some lines.
Had to stretch them to get the master cylinder up in front of the booster.
should have it working tomorrow.

Installed the bikini top and rear tailgate. Took it for a spin up big cottonwood canyon and I’m convinced I’m running on much less than 6 cylinders 😂😂. Slow going is an understatement on any type of incline. A 2F cop motor or 2.8 Cummins will be in my 5 year plan. Still the best looking rig in the parking lot.

Put in a new parking brake switch which was much more work than I had imagined. The replacement switch I ordered was much larger than the original and the shaft had a larger diameter. So, I ended up disassembling the parking brake lever release bracket in order to drill a larger hole for the new switch. The bracket is held together with a pin and a tiny c-clip. It is a royal PIA to put back together as it has a small very finicky spring. Finally got it in and now we have a parking brake light. Small victory, but I'll take it.

This is the first photo of the progress on my 68' 40 project. The rebuilt fine spline axles are installed with the FJ60 disk brake conversion.
This weekend I finished up mounting the minitruck power steering box after shortening my drag link.

I also recieved my rear sill & quarter panel patch plates from CCOT.
Next step in to test fit the 3F-E

It’s been a whole year and a half, but now that my 40 is back in a garage I’m finally getting back to restoring!!! Thanks to a local legend, I got a big chunk of my remaining parts list items!

Not sure this the right place to post
Saw this 40 in a Disney+ trailer for a film called 'Star Girl'

Jumped off the couch and started yelling, "That's a LAND CRUISER!" 😂 🤦🏻‍♂️

Swapped my leafs from front to rear and rear to front. Cruiser had a bad squat when purchased from PO. Leafs were on wrong ends. Looks appropriate now. Still need to flip shackles however I couldn't because driver front shackle bolt is welded to the inner shackle plate because it's to close to the power steering box to get a nut on the backside. No worries I'm planning shackle reversal or at minimum different shackles period. I like the HFS from ccot but would probably have the same clearance issue without shackles reversal. Either way it's much more level now. Has any one else ever seen this or have any other ideas. I was thinking a thinner nut might clear.
