Finally got the ass end to where I could install all the trim pieces without worrying about dripping stripper or old paint on them.
I feel as there is never a point where you should stop worrying about dripping strippers...
Got the 40 out in its natural habitat!
Started putting the hard top on for the winter.
I made a nice trade with my mud buddy @cims1970fj40
he needs to have a period correct service spec pig tail
adapter from his dizzy to his igniter as part of his build
so i spec.d OEM Red and White period correct leeds , 16Ga , and also my Trust Off White , TAN Fire Proof High Heat wire Loom
ALL NOS YAZAKI parts in correct OEM Green , for ignition , if any body cares white connectors or natural stand for Illumination ,
Blue or Black are for wiper circuit .....
but oem green always ignition and engine bay there also most UV rated .

Got the bellhousing and flywheel on. Then was able to install and adjust the rocker arms.

Found a loophole in my HOA’s by laws and added a few parking spots to the side of my garage for even more projects.
Nothing feels better than telling an HOA where to stick it.
You gotta love the loopholes.

In reality I’m in a weird gray area - technically we have a HOA here, but it’s completely inactive - otherwise I imagine the guy next door to me that rents out his back yard as camper storage or the guy up the street with a full on scrapyard in the side yard would probably have been told off by now.
Ironically, the day I moved in and parked my land cruiser in the driveway one of my new neighbors approached and asked if I planned to keep my “junk car” in the driveway because they liked to keep a “park like atmosphere” in the neighborhood. That guy lives between camper guy and scrap heap guy.
Long term goal is to move somewhere where I can’t see my neighbors.
