Thats very nice, I have to replace my tires in the spring. These look like great replacements. Did you have to order these or buy them local...?

Installed 80A 88-92 3FE alternator in place of 60A 79-87 alt.

Working good so far.

Is that a drop-in replacement Jim? Same pulley size, same belt?

I would like to upgrade my stock alternator because of all the electronics I run and a winch, plus I have plans to buy a fridge too.

Swapped the Krawlers off for the Iroks. Found 2 broken lug studs on right rear wheel spacer...DOH!! Oh well, it could have been worse I could have found this on the road/trail. I was suspecting something was wrong when all the lug nuts were just a tinge beyond finger tight. Should be a quick fix though, with the disc conversion. Perhaps I'll change all 6 while in there and keep the originals for trail spares....

mattolewis now that is some serious off roading, glad to see that fj40 handled it ok. Hopefully that will be me in a few days, trying to get it together enough to be able to drive it around the driveway

I have tunes!!

Made some speaker boxes for 6X9's and some brackets out of sheet metal for 4" speakers that I installed in front of kick panels. The radio is a Wallyworld special and the speakers were the cheapest I could find. However, I now have music and did it all for under $110.
