Had passenger side cv axle finally replaced yesterday. I found it was leaking grease near the boot clamp area In March 2020. I wrapped it with silicone tape and drove like that for over six thousand miles since March 2020, the wrap successfully kept the grease from leaking until the last long trip of over 1000 miles in two days. I was surprised that the temporary fix lasted that long. I had the replacement part sitting in garage for a while and was glad I brought it with me for the long trip.

That thing looks HUGE. I would love to see it open on there when you use it for the first time. Looks like you can fit a family of 4 in that thing!
Agreed. Larger than I thought, or 200 roof tops are narrow. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to the sleep luxury of the width. Spec'd for 3, but just my wife and I.

Please, what is a shed skid 500hp that cost a $9000 gear box?

Its a burnout spinning all 4 tyres and smoking out the shed "aussie style" and then blowing 2nd and 3rd as i transitioned from the smooth shed floor to the rougher exterior concrete..

This is a shed skid with a Monaro

Oil change today.

Swapped the plastic filter holder with aluminum. Had to move the inner the old center filter support to the new housing, since the new one is too short (shorter one intended for Venza).

Also replaced oil drain bolt with EZ drain valve. Still had reasonable clearance between valve and skid plate.

I had no idea! Serious Aussie envy. I would never have thought of suping up an LC200 to even be capable of a "shed skid". Hats off man! It's awesome that Land Cruiser is big enough in Australia that people do these things with them. Your build is amazing.

Took care of a few things I've been putting off for a while...

1. I finally received my Lexus Credit card key and it programmed easily via Tech Stream.

2. I sent my PowerTank back to the company to have a "snorkel" installed internally that will allow it to function while laying on its side. This means I no longer have to take it off of the roof to use it and can leave it mounted at all times. Will provide further updates when it is returned to me.

3. I ordered an INDEflate 4 hose tire inflation/deflation system. I priced out parts to build one myself and was within $50 of the $200 price tag without a gauge on the manifold, so I just decided to support the company. Hopefully I'll have it next week. The plan is to mount a shallow box on the roof rack next to the PowerTank to carry the INDEflate so I can quickly hook up and inflate all 4 tires at once directly from the valve on the PowerTank. Seems like it should be very convenient and fast.

4. Finally completed a full exterior detail mostly to get rid of as much pin striping as possible and get a nice layer of sealant and wax on the paint. I washed, clay barred, cut/polished, sealed and then waxed.

5. Ordered some new switches including lockers despite not having them yet because these particular locker switches seem to be out of stock frequently. I installed them so I wouldn't lose them, not to be a poser.

6. Ordered supplies for some DIY work over the holidays to include:
  • Spark Plug and Boot Replacements
  • Compression Test/Bleed-Down Test
  • PCV Valve Replacement
  • Resonator Delete
  • Snorkel/Air Filter Box connection improvement
  • Oil/Filter Change
  • Anything else I should be thing about as I approach 100k miles?

Are those the AOB switches? How is the quality? I am thinking about ordering the Aux Battery version to remotely enable my DC-DC charger. Is 32.5mmx22mm (960 series) the correct size?

These are the CH4X4 available on Amazon. Amazon product ASIN B017C343A0
I have had good luck with their stuff, but availability is hit or miss.
