150k oil change.

Here are some pics. It's super dirty though. I don't think anyone has shown the light output from the lighting.

Did one last mod for the week...

Its not permanent but I wanted a good place to mount my magnetic antennas for CB and HAM. The Rhino Rack eats up all of the good roof space and I worry about performance having the antennas sticking up between the planks. I grabbed a steel plate and mounted it to the plank using the standard Rhino Rack hardware. Seems to work just fine.

I didn;t do anything to my LC this week, just got it yesterday and I just drove it around. Delivered with 4 miles on the ODO, now has 250...so..I drove it.

Did you cut the rocker panels or replace with LC?

If you cut them, are they floppy?

I cut them. I added double sided tape where they originally had as well as to the front and some pieces in the middle. I don't think the middle pieces of tape are doing much but they're not flimsy.

Took one of the 295/70/18 Toyo MTs on +25 Method NVs off of my 100 and test fit it on the front driver side of my 200. My plan was to swap them all over to use off-road this summer if I could make them fit.
Short story. Not gonna happen. The tire wasn’t rubbing the KDSS bar it was smashing it!!!
I guess I’ll keep rocking the 275/70/18s for a while longer.
Now I fully understand the need for the KDSS bracket.

I don't understand that. Those are only .4" wider than a 285/70/17 on rock warriors @ +50 that is approved by Toyota.

It’s the height not the width. It’s hitting the KDSS bar forward of the bend.

Starter and water pump replacement at 305,000 miles. LC was still on original water pump and original starter -- no signs of issue but decided to do a little preventative maintenance. "Preventative Maintenance" at 305,000 miles -- can't say that about many vehicles in this day and age !

Recently purchased 2015 LX570 with 91k miles, not much service history on Carfax. just removed third row seats, changed engine oil, front, rear diff and transfer case fluidS. replaced brake fluid, AHC fluid. ordered coolant and power steering fluids from Toyota dealers. will drain and exchange them once I receive the fluids. only fluid left unchanged will be transmission fluid, thinking will wait till 100k. The fluids I replaced so far looked they really need to be replaced. I had two second hand 98/99 LC at different times before, and a Mid 90 LC Prado, each for only a few years, but never serviced them myself. This time I want to keep the LX570 for many miles and years.

Got my 08 pretty perty... :hillbilly:

Swapped out my WeatherTech floor mats for the Maxpider 3D Kagu. The WT have a very slippery texture while the Kagus are very grippy.

Also customized a PowerTrays sPOD Bantam unit for use in my LC. I shared my “creation” with PowerTrays, so hopefully they’ll add it to their lineup.
