I changed the transfer case oil. I followed the youtube video and it was really easy. The oil was dirty at 40k miles. The differential oil was clean by comparison.

Got a link? Doing mine tomorrow.

Edit: found it.

That’s weird normally the differentials are a lot dirtier black even, while the transfer case almost looks clean at 60,000 miles? Was it factory lube in your differential and transfer case or had it been changed before? If it was changed before what Lube was used in the transfer case?

KISS drawers are in now I just need to bed line the trim and install handles as well as some organizational tools

Do you need to take off the transfer case protector if you use a needle?
No. I would have to “ clock” the zerk to get as straight a shot as possible. I did not have all 4 wheels off the ground so I had to move the LC forward or backwards to line up the zerk.

I added a Slee Jerry can holder. This is a very nicely done piece of Kit. Way to go @sleeoffroad! I also added the Rising Sun sticker.

Chicks dig scars. So car scars are cool.
(Ouch, feel bad for ya. Hope that helps)

While I was not happy about the dent, I did learn a lot; and frankly it's not a big deal. I bought the truck to use, not solely look at. The Crawl/MTS works very well and can get you (at least me) into places I should not be. In this case it was a large block of ice hidden by an inch of snow on a pretty steep side road on a north facing slope high in the Rockies. We had to winch down the hill to keep control of the truck on the ice. The two locked 80s I was leading could not make it to where Crawl/MTS got me. No one was hurt and we had fun even though this will cost me some time and about $900 to fix.

Looking to the positive impact of this: my wife (who was with me) will no longer complain about forest and desert pin stripes.

Nothing exciting here, but I was able to change my transmission fluid and put some grease in all the driveshaft zerks.

I did the nearly full fluid change. Followed the You Tube example for most part.
I did buy 4 gallons of ATF and have about 2/3 of a gallon left. The process of confirming you have the correct level of fluid almost requires having a bit extra on hand.

What atf did you use?
