I found some water, some mud and some trouble in Utah/Arizona the other day.

Videos no works...but nice photo!
Dem’s some mud!!

Looks like it’s time to park over a lawn sprinkler for a while... No fun cleaning that goop if it’s dry!

yeah like for 3 days :hillbilly:

Heh... Just had a thought of driving through my monthly-unlimited-car-wash place over and over and over til it’s clean. :) Thinking maybe 30 or 40 times might do it... :)

It was nothing that $30 at the car wash couldn't fix

So while my drawers are still out and wires are still accessible... I’m still adding wired stuff I’ve had in the back of my melon for a while...

Just added this so 110 AC items can access my 1500W sine wave inverter without having my rear hatch open. Drone chargers, dremel tool, heat gun, soldering, buddy’s drone batteries, etc.

Made sure it’s all properly grounded and totally moisture locked:

I started to replace my leaking AHC shocks today but couldn’t get the tie rod loose so the LCA wouldn’t droop low enough to slide the front strut out.

I ran out of time this weekend so I put it back together and changed the very nasty fluid:

New location for my full-time rear view camera...zip-tied over the hitch until I’m certain of placement...then will fully mount.

Nice thing about this door is I can temporarily tip it down to include the hitch ball for easy trailer hookup...then pivot it up for other wheeling use or just a rear view “mirror” when I’m packed to the ceiling in back.

7” screen is on right side pillar by passenger mirror & a remote turns screen on/off whenever. Making it full time powered...

Cleaned up the interior a bit. Vacuumed every little nook and cranny. Suctioned out a few stale french fries, courtesy of kids and friends, in the rear in the process.

I noticed that between the wood trim and plastic or leather pieces on the doors, a lot of small dust particles were stuck in the little space in between the 2 materials. The vacuum couldn't suck up the particles. So I took a very sharp steak knife and ran along the crease gently, and was able to get out the little particles.

Saw a few of the ventilated holes in the seats were "plugged" with particles as well. I took a sharp sewing needle and pushed in the little particles, clearing them up again.

Also noticed that the side bolsters on the front seats are showing a little more wear, saw 2 very tiny dark wear spots. Nothing major of a truck at 100k miles. Took some leather conditioner and applied it to the front and rear seats.

1. Installed the Tough Dog adjustable lift. Rides nice, looks good. Over-extended an inner CV slightly during the install, so I'd advise future lifters to undo the two bolts that hold the LCA to the hub and to push the LCA down without while supporting the hub. Over-extended CVs seems to be relatively common on the 200 during lifts. After spending an hour struggling to get it back into position, I cut open the boot to see if the CV balls had fallen out of the joint. Nope. Then, when turning the hub nut to take off the axle, the joint popped back into place. Doh!

2. Wrapped the center console to get rid of the massive sea of fake wood. I left the wood on the steering wheel and the dash uncovered, as small amounts are tolerable. This is the 3M 1080 "Matrix" film. Pretty easy to work with, with a little bit of practice.

3. Installed an LED in the overhead console for ambient light at night. Write-up here.

4. Bought some Rock Warriors and 285/75-17 NTG2s off Craigslist. Need to get some lug nuts for these. Pictures once installed.

These are 275/65-18 Toyo AT2 tires, soon to be replaced.

Makes me wanna wrap my fake wood away.
Nicely done.

Forgot to mention - the wrap pattern is a general match for the subtle pattern imprinted on the radio/nav surround. The color and texture of this particular vinyl don't clash with the materials on the interior.

However, I did try some piano black wrap on the wood strip along the dash and doors. I thought it would look good with my black truck, but nah. Just looked too shiny.

Also, you'll notice the shifter knob and shifter surround were painted with SEM 39253 Medium Titanium paint.

Replaced the rubber cushions that are allowing this damage to my wheels when in the spare position

Very easy, and about $20 total

Does anyone know of an exact match for the 2013 silver wheel color?

Thanks

oh! Then I noticed this while vacuuming out the cabin filter housing.

I wasn’t gentle with it trying to get a battery vacuum to work.. and assumed I broke it. But now looking at it with the dust maybe it was broken before.

Now I get to try and find a part or a wrecked rig to get one off of. My concern is if it jams it might ruin the actuator.

This will not be fun.

Maybe try to super glue that one first - wouldn't hurt anything to try
