Finally joining the RW Club. Found these on flea bay and had them professionally painted grey. Will mount in a couple weeks

I paid $100 a wheel. A bit expensive I know but this guy has done a lot of work on my Dad's numerous sports cars and he has skills I certainly don't have.

Took it to the lake.

What leveling kit are you going with? I’m thinking of doing the same

I had the dealership install a 1 inch OEM spacer. It's still not exactly level with the back but definitely better. It's my daily driver so I didn't want the stiff ride some say come with a lift.

Had Fun this weekend:
Threw on some Black (powdercoated) Tundra wheels and Hankooks.
Bled AHC
ATF drain/fill
Replaced Driver Door Check Assy Hinge (due to popping noise when opening, ask me if you need help with this, took me 20 minutes)
Replaced back door struts (which fixed my inoperable auto back door motor function)

Thought I'd baseline for the long haul, bought all parts, took it to my mechanic ($1100 in labor):
New Radiator
New Water Pump
New Serp Belt (and Idler, Tensioner)
New Starter

Next weekend:
New brakes/rotors

I rattle-canned those same wheels for my LX. Yours look MUCH nicer!

That's why I got them, I liked yours from your build thread.

On a side note, just got an awesome call from my mechanic, he forgot to bolt down fan, started it, fan went into radiator, and now I"m waiting another 2 days for parts. I had a brand new Toyota Radiator and now I'm settling for Denso cause the ToyRad is going to take 5 days and couldn't wait cause of planned vacation.

I suspect the Denso is the same part, just without the TRAD label, based on photos:

2008-2010 Radiator Failure and Public Service Announcement

Honestly I just had mine replaced with a new TRAD part and it's the same 5038 part # as the original on my 2013, which had the hairline crack, so I don't think you'll be any worse off with a Denso - it'll either be the same reliability as the OEM radiators which last 100k or it'll last longer.

Thanks for the note, that's what I figured. Nice thing about a radiator is that I can see it easily and determine if there is an issue. If it were the water pump or something down under, would be less willing to go with anything but Toyota genuine.

Unable to access either of the two albums you linked to - you may have to change the permissions to allow public access.

TIA

Same here. “You do not have permission...” etc.

NICE! how was the AHC bleed process? I have a '08 LX and I have all the fluid to DIY sometime soon.

It's not too bad, but is tedious, I used about 4 quarts of fluid. I wedged my phone (w flashlight on) behind the AHC tank so I could see the fluid level. I bled each line until there was bright pink fluid coming out, which involved several drops/rises on each accumulator. Also, I was getting overflow when I tried to fill the tank through the hose, so I just removed the hose (w white cap) and pumped fluid directly into the tank.
