Replacing some rotted out sheet metal there from the PO before the slee rear bumper goes on. I don't have to make it too neat since it will be covered. I do want it to water tight and rust free.

Changed the oil, rotated the tires, lubed her up. Started removing the factory spare tire area junk in preparation of building a new rear bumper and swing out tire carrier. Some parts started showing up for it.

After reading multiple threads on the stock subwoofer replacement, I decided to get a powered 10" Rockford Fosgate. It, along with my new door speakers, really brought the sound system to life. Also, it is easily detachable if I ever need the room.

Self powered- so you simply disconnect leads going to factory sub and wire directly to your new sub and also a switched 12v source? ( sorry I don't know much about matching stereo components)

That is what I did. Wired it to the battery, a good ground, then tied it in with the stock sub wiring. The Rockford Fosgate I got had an audio sensing turn on, so it got that signal from the existing sub wires also. Overall a very easy install, and it has a controller that I put up by the drivers set so you can adjust the bass to your liking.

Very cool- thanks. Is the controller wireless? What model sub?

Tried my hand at plasti-dipping today. Used Rustoleum dark gray with a gloss finish for the chrome bezel around the license plate and back up lights. Put on 4 coats + the gloss. Finish turned out great. Not sure about the color - was looking for something a bit darker, but not black.

Just a nice clean up and a chance to admire the new custom made pencil tip black powder coated straight cut exhaust tips

Now that takes courage, well done, I just hope you can weld? Worst case scenario, duct tape is your friend!
