Finally installed my CB for HIH. I ran a k35 magnetic antenna on the roof. I'll probably get a better antenna and mount eventually. I'm a few miles from the highway and could still hear some light chatter so I think this will hold me over.

Please tell be HIH isn't all CB and there is mostly ham support?

What did you use for the mic mount on your console? I got the standard metal one and the same console as yours. Hesitant to run a couple of sheet metal screws into it just for a trip. City boy like me don't use a CB too often.

Old vs. new - The bar actually wore away at the passenger side link.

...and because of that it also wallowed out the hole at the end of the anti sway bar (only on the passenger side). Is this something that I should be concerned about?? I got it all cleaned up, wire-wheeled, and sanded so there weren't any sharp or jagged edges.

Had the same condition with my swaybar on the DS. The mounting hole is elongated, which allows the link to get offset, which prob. increases wear of the bushings and the stem. I dont think it poses any a safety issues, but it does affect the durability of the links. Before thinking it through, I ordered a new swaybar and planned to change it out when I serviced the LCA's ( you gotta remove the TB's to get the swaybar out). After I bought the new swaybar, the thought later occurred to me that I could probably weld/fill the hole in while its mounted to the truck, drill a new hole and be good to go. Hopefully that hint saves you some effort & money.

I used the 3M foam double sided tape on the standard metal hook. Its held so far, but I felt the same about screwing holes. I'll probably screw it to a flat piece of plastic then double side tape that to the console so it has more contact surface for the tape.

Ordered a birthday present from Slee...

New rear bumper. Should ship later this week!

Last minute prep for HIH... this past week I installed Slee Sliders and Rear Bumper w/swingouts and finally fit up my Dissent front bumper (@benc makes one heck of a bumper). Now the front bumper is being powder coated and this weekend will be wiring.

Tranny flush, new plugs, base lined all fluids, oil change, cleaned MAF and throttle body. I will install heater Tee's this weekend. Then, let the mods begin.

Are you going to come hang out with us next month?

Fixed leaking sunroof with a 24 inch by 44 inch black car magnet...also while changing pcv valve and grommet, the old grommet broke in have and fell into valve cover....worked all night and have work tonight so I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning when I get off

I replaced my original radiator, had a small leak, and while I was in there replaced my plastic heater tees. One of them fell apart while removing but got to the loose pieces.

That would be great if you could bring it @willbt

Shipped - would be here early next week!
