Been pretty busy the last weekends.

Did some PM stuff:
1. Timing belt with all seals. R Cam seal was leaky; glad i got those items. Cleaned it with Gunk spray while in there. Took me 14 hrs and three days. Could not work on it for more than a few hours a day.

2. Spark plugs.

3. Drained ALL Coolant. Used Pink super long life 2.5 Gal. Wont have to worry til next timing belt.

4. I also remove all the fake wood from dash and rear doors and center console. Painted it black. Im also going to do the speakers grills, but im waiting for my B-day present to do that since ill have to remove them anyway. Will post when all of that is done.

Painted the center side panel. Used Rustoleum truck bed liner spray. Love this stuff. It dries like sand paper and is VERY durable. Used it before on my Xterra on all the bumpers and after three years had no noticeable chipping.

I also had the windows tinted with 3M 50% if i remember correctly. Also removed the running boars. I got an instant 4 inch lift.

I've never liked the footprint of the stock jack, just seems like it would tilt and flip so easily I just don't feels safe with it. I went to Harbor Freight and got their bottle jack version but that doesn't lift as high, which was also the problem with the flat jacks. This weekend I grabbed some scrap rotors off my Acura and made a foot stand for the stock jack... also added extra overall lift height...

@bucfl do you have pics of the interior trim? Been wanting to do this also.

Here is what it looks like. I soaked the center console overnight to try and soften the glue. The next day i used GooGone and steel wool. I over used the steel wool as i have scratches on the center console. But ill take those over what it looked like before i cleaned it up. And you can buy the plastic trim kit at HF for like $10.

Before:

After: You can see the scratches if you look closely at the pics. But if you don't bear down on the steel wool as much as i did, i think you will get better results. Either way, i don't notice them anymore.

Ordered 30mm spacer for the rear from Metaltech

@bucfl great job. Did you do the same thing in the doors? Peal the fake wood off and sand it down?

Thank you. Yes, i used the trim kit from HF to pry the fake wood covers off. Its better if you use steel wool as it wont clog with glue and makes it easier to remove.

Yeah, looks good. Can you provide model of winch also? Maybe interior bumper pics of mount?

X3 would love more info on the install. Great job.
I used a harbor freight winch plate as the base, extended it on the back side to use the two captured nut in the frame and then welded in two upright plates which I used to bolt horizontally through the frame. Six metric 10.9 bolts hold the plate to the frame, which have a shear strength much greater than the winches capacity.

Winch is the harbor freight 12k (disassembled and new grease and high quality seals replacing the factory ones installed), but I would have to remove the bumper cover to get proper pics of the mount.
The mount was simple to make; maybe four hours total from start to winch install.

I mounted some Hella Optilux LED worklamps on the back of the roof rack... I didn't finish wiring them in  I'll do that on Monday.
