I am almost positive that when you use the supplied factory trailer connector y harness, the amber lights were acting as the brake lights too, like they would on a normal trailer. (4 wires, ground, running lights, left turn, right turn. The brakes lights are activated on this connector by turning on both turn signal wires steady.) How did you wire yours? Did you splice so that the correct lights would light up? When I called ARB asking why my amber lights were lighting up, they acknowledged that I wasn't the first to call with that issue, and they sent me free red lenses to replace the amber ones.

Mine came with the bumper installed. I assume that the signals were just spliced into the factory ones? Next time I'm down here with things taken apart I'll check itout.

Yeah, for the reverse lights, I spliced in and removed the factory bulbs (since they are blocked.) and am running the LED's right off of the factory wiring. I think the list on that tank was $1275 plus shipping back when I was looking at them at Cruise Moab last year.

87 gallons would be crazy even with petrol. I considered that approach, but feel the space would be better used with a 20 gallon water tank and a 10 gallon air tank as well as a water pump and either a propane powered rear mounted water heater or a coolant heated one mounted up front and plumbed to the tank in the back.[/QUO

WOW! guess that IS good deal! I like that idea a LOT, but I have a 12.5 gal H2O tank mounted in my Jerry can swingout and an aquacube for the hot water.

Haven't gotten my A/C system fixed. "Toyota: Oh what a wonderful feeling...". Not so much. Story at 11.

Inquiring minds want to know Dan!

Concerning the pregnant wife club, for the record, my wife never complained. But I noticed by week 25 how she struggled to get in. I felt bad for her, so I spent a morning throwing the steps back on and surprised her. She was thrilled. She knows they come off after baby is born though. Another point to consider: she's 5 foot, I have slightly oversize tires and a hefty Tbar crank. So yeah. I'm all about keeping my truck step free, but I gotta take care of my girl. She's the best thing to ever happen to me.

While waiting on my radiator to arrive so I can drive the 98lc for the first time (got the engine in and everything hooked up) I have replaced the drivers front fender (with the one from the junk yard). fixed a few dings/crease on the drivers side pass door and a small dent below the gas fill.... I've fixed those dents removed both bumper covers, and I've prepped the drivers side for paint, might as well paint the whole side, think I'm going to paint the bumpers while I'm at it (it's a black truck with the dark grey side molding and bumpers...) the side molding I'm going to rhino line black also, purchased all the gear oil to do the transfer case and diffs, and i'll grease everything while I'm under there... the hood has quite a few rock chips... but black is so easy to touch up & buff I might try that before I paint the whole thing...

Howdy! I'm intereasted in a set of your Depo head lights (black trim) if you have any left?

my brother had a homelink unit he got from an IS300 sitting around and looking at it I realized it would fit right in the garage door opener pocket.

took off the button portion

little trimming of the opening and snapped it back togehter

tapped into the power and ground for the reading lights and voila:

will probably figure out a way to cover the gaps on the sides but just put it in to test and all works well and took all of 15 minutes.

You could also just pickup the plate for that from a LX 470. I have the homelink in mine and the button spacing looks the same.

Yup, also have an LX at home with the home link so familiar with it but was not looking to do this, he just happened to have the extra part collecting dust so figured why not.

It will only take 1 - mine took less than 1/2 the wheel. My LC has spent its entire life in Texas and I removed the pin stripe when it was around 6-7 years old and the harsh TX sun had done a number on the paint - you can see sections where the stripe used to be. I was left with 3 choices: live with it, paint the sides of the LC or re pin stripe it. I chose to have a pin stripe (sticker but about to replace with one painted on) applied over the area of the original.

I can deal with a "ghost" stripe in case it happens. I'll give it a whirl. Thanks.

Btw, what brand wheel did you use?

More like "What did your Cruiser do to you this week!" IFS rebuild complete. Replaced Steering rack and balls, CV axels, UCA's w/ SPC arms, LCA w/ Toyota, U-joints on drive shaft (4), SuperPro bushings for both sways and the rack, Fan clutch, and the shroud that I broke installing the rack. Tomorrow to the shop for alignment. Should be good for another 140k miles! Took a little longer than a week....All started looking for a squeak!

Where did you score the bushings?
