Took delivery of my first 100/470 series. Bought sight unseen and was very concerned about general condition but more or less pleased. All original body panels. No rust from NC. No service history but general appearance leads me to believe it wasn't complelty neglected. Long list of PM to begin right away and some great help from awesome people here on mud getting my keys figured out. Only came with valet key. My kids might ever let me drive this one till I can get my own. 🤣

Hit up @Mauser or check his key thread. He programs new immobilizer chip to solder on. I did that and then made new master keys after only having a valet.

I am new to the 100 series. Coming from the 40 forum OCD Bettle has a really successful, fun thread where we post a pic of wheeling, a fix, a new part, etc. for our trucks.

It's neat to see the mix of projects, daily driving issues, weekend wheelin reports, etc.

I thought the 100 forum could use one...

I'll start...today I ordered an Iron Man 2 inch lift kit for my 99'.
Sweet what year and mileage?
2000 with 192k

Yes, we have been in contact. Thank you.

Today was project Tundra Steelies. Scored a set for $30 bucks. Painted them with Duplicolor Wheel paint in GunMetal Grey because everyone else does black and bronze. So...I have the IronMan Pro Cell Foam lift. How big of a tire can I fit if I do the pinch weld mod, etc.? Will a 33x12.50x18 fit? I wanna run the Patagonia MT tires.

i can’t believe you only have 84k on the odo!

I'm a bike commuter on the weekdays, and quarantine/work from home has been helping keep the miles low on the rig!

So I made a thing today....

For some time now, I've been concerned about the theft of my rig after hearing that even with the transponder key anti-theft system (that sounds impenetrable enough), Land Cruisers are still being stolen (even locally) by experienced thieves holding the right tools (replacing the computer, etc). Knowing that, I wanted to make it as difficult as possible to run and drive (here at home, or out on the street) even if that system was bypassed. Leaving the thief with either towing or pushing it down the street as the only way to move it.

I know it won't run without the fuel pump fuse intact and in place, so I made a harness the replaces it with a remote fuse wired to an on-off switch. Ultimately, it's just a deterrent for someone who actually knows how to diagnose, but who's going to do that? It certainly increases the complexity of stealing this particular vehicle- right? If somebody who really knows what they're doing goes looking, this is obvious. But the average dirtbag won't even know to look. If it doesn't start, that will likely be the end of it. Any thoughts on this?

So are you just going to leave the switch in the fuse box?

Like the look but how does it affect turning radius? If not too bad thinking of picking up a set myself.

Installed 1.25 Bora spacers

LX470 reliably took me to a nice spot in the high desert to test out my new Skydio 2 drone! Waited a whole year to get it, makes capturing videos super easy as its autonomous and follows me by itself. So don't need a co pilot to record and can focus on the driving.

That looks great!!! It's just $$$. Dear Santa....
