Cleaned, primed and painted new White knuckle off road sliders. Very impressed with the build quality and welds. Install later today with @Comet.

Had to replace a rear wheel stud and nut today. I let Costco do the honors of shearing the stud as I knew it was toast and had my tires rotated and balanced. Picked up a new stud and nut from dealership, 45 mins later using the FAQ thread as vague guidance, job done. Oh, for the washers, the standard 1/2" non-fender washers from Lowes fit perfectly to aid in seating the new stud.

All three front diff bushings, this time with OEM. Previously I'd done the DS arm by pressing in a poly bushing. I screwed up pressing it in and chewed it up some. So I quit that day and finally now did the job. It's not the most fun I've ever had, but maybe will start to clean up the clunk that's creeping in.

A dozen beers to the person that posted about the air hammer in the big thread. The front bushing was out in less than 2 minutes...all for a $7 tool at Harbor Freight.

How did she turn out @1428Mike ? What color did you decide to go with and why mate?
Cheers,
G
Satin black, matched the ARB, slowly making my way to the rear.

My partner in crime @Comet brought some libations (Blade and Bow bourbon)

and we started by burning the instructions. 😉

Looks like they could still provide a small step area. Would you say it is usable as a step, maybe with some grip tape?
Plenty of room to stand on them, not sure how they will be when wet or muddy. The kickout in the rear provides even more room for getting to anything up top.

Today was project Tundra Steelies. Scored a set for $30 bucks. Painted them with Duplicolor Wheel paint in GunMetal Grey because everyone else does black and bronze. So...I have the IronMan Pro Cell Foam lift. How big of a tire can I fit if I do the pinch weld mod, etc.? Will a 33x12.50x18 fit? I wanna run the Patagonia MT tires.

Nice wheels. I run 33" tires on OEM wheels and they fit without any modifications. You will immediately notice woth larger tires the speedo will under read and throttle response will be more lethargic

@1428Mike always gets the best pictures of me. Favor returned and you are welcome.

Spent the weekend on the White River in Calico Rock, AR with the girlfriend and dog. Only caught a single cutthroat trout but had fun and beautiful views to makeup for it!

Bled the AHC system after 5k of ownership. Squared away the front shock pressures with techstream as well. Rear are still reading slightly high but haven't tried to unplug the temp sensor yet. Drivers side torsion bar adjuster was rusted, needed a real impact to break it loose.

160k now and its lexus service records say the ahc system was never flushed. Threads on here say the used hydraulic fluid would be green but my fluid was black and smelled like fertilizer. The longest part of the flush was getting the old fluid out of the tank with this little 10ml syringe haha

Had another busy week:
  • Raised the spare tire with some spacers.
  • Replaced four door lock motors with motors from Ebay.
  • Disassembled and repaired the driver side master window switch assembly with some JB Weld, but I found the bulb for the auto switch out so I need to find a replacement for that.
  • Started replacing the steering rack bushings when it started to hail. Found one of the bushings melted with black gunk all over the crossmember so I assume the oil/power steering ATF leaks over the years caused it to disintegrate.

  • And finally pulled apart one of the 2nd row seats to figure out why the rear seat lock was not extending. Found one of the leg stays broken and another special surprise from the previous owner...
