Finally got some time off after working overtime since this mess started, so tackled some maintenance:
-oil and filter (Mobil1 syn)
-diffs and t-case (amsoil severe duty)
-cleaned and oiled air filter
-lubed driveshaft & u-joints
-spark plugs (iridium twin tip)
-coils (denso)
-AT-205 into power steering, small leak is almost gone but hoping to punt replacement
-replaced front ds lock actuator (aisin assembly)
-heat shield on fuel lines near cat on ds
-wire wheel and fluid film frame and undercarriage
-annual wash, clay bar, wax
-vacuumed all the dog hair out of the interior
-washed engine bay (simple green and garden hose)
-replaced halogen fogs with LED on the ironman bumper
-rotated tires
-lubed window tracks (silicone lube)
-determined longer bolts are needed to install the @TRAIL TAILOR front recovery points with the ironman bumper

and some cosmetic upgrades:
-recovered steering wheel (loncky)

Certainly not for everyone, but I'm happy with the results.

Now to load up and get dirty again over the weekend!
Sheesh man, most of take a year to do all that!

My Timken and Koyo wheel bearings came in (plus new oil seals) so I decided to be proactive and get at least one side done today after work. Plan to finish the passenger side tomorrow. Getting stupid good at tearing apart the front wheel brakes.

If this doesn't solve my front end vibration/humming noises I'm legit buying a new car for a daily driver lmfao...

This week I coated my almost ready to crack leather with conditioner and put on some Seat Designs neoprene seat covers and some molle seat back covers from Skull Vibe.
Happy with how it turned out for the money.
Maybe the Carhart custom covers would fit better and last longer but I’d rather put that kind of money in to something functional and not cosmetic.

Replaced the OEM torsion bars with surprisingly meatier Ironman TBs. 32.5 mm vs 29.0 mm OEMs.
Last time when I was putting on the TBs, I slathered the splines in anti seize, 2 years later the TB came out without any fight at all! I was dreading that I might have to cut the TBs out like the last time but they moved easily with hand. Made the whole job easy  . I also added the Ironman front LCA strengthening brackets but haven't drilled into the arm itself to bolt them on. Do these brackets do anything at all if I don't bolt them up to the arm?

Initial expressions of the Ironman TBs: I have the truck leveled up at 23 inch from center of the wheel to the edge of wheel well opening at all 4 corners.
I still feel the small amplitude undulations caused by expansion joints, rail road crossings and surface cracks pretty much unfiltered, but that is most likely the function of e load rated tires anyway.
Otherwise she corners much flatter and the nose dive upon braking is noticeably less pronounced. She does like to wander a bit more than before but I think it can be cured by lowering the front by an inch.
More review to come later

After almost 2 years after scrapping the AHC, I finally replaced the rear sway bar. The LX version sway bar is 23.5 mm vs 25.2mm LC version. Thanks to rusty bolts it was a total schit show and took almost 2 hours! But it is done now. I won't know the difference until it is more loaded up for our next trip.
Next step is to replace the torsion bars.

Huh. I didn't know about this. I'm also curious what kind of difference it makes.

Last night/this morning at 2am I finally buttoned up the last piece of trim from the stereo upgrade.

Alpine ILX-W650 double din with Infinity 5 channel amp and speakers. 5.25 components in the front and 6.5's shoved in the back doors. And the final part last night was finishing the trim around the new JL W3 6.5" sub. Everything still looks clean and stock and sounds amazing! Now I just have to find the one rattle now that I have good bass. ALL of this was thanks to this forum for all the info I needed. Thanks!

Just for fun on the camshaft covers..

before and after ceramic coating. Absolutely unnecessary, but fun.

Moved my fridge for the 3rd time... This last time because my two dogs didn't like having individual seats when it was on the middle seat second row. Now the dogs get the beach seat again, can seat 4 comfortably (5 if they straddle the fridge), I have a large armrest, can access while driving, more room in back for packing, and the lid opens all the way now

what fridge is this? I miss the fridge in the 200 I sold on long treks. Looks a bit tight lol

Any chance of a write up? I put new speakers to stock headunit and it sounds like butt, thinking I have to do a full upgrade

Replaced all the speakers, subwoofer and added a 5 channel amp. Was bummed the amp would fit under the seat but it will be hidden between the rear seat and drawers.

Sounds MUCH better! I do notice I get a bit of “ear fatigue” for lack of a better description.

Grumbling from what I though was Ac bearing, took drive belt off and grumbling was still there, took alternator off, stripped it down to the extent I had the bearings in hand, all spun and felt fine.. ??? Pushed for time so ordered new alternator. Really surprised that it was the existing alternator bearing as they appeared to be ok..

db.

Doing my rust proofing and decided to pull the rear bumper cover. Not bad for a 2001.

Now to load up and get dirty again over the weekend!

Putting in some serious wrench time.

Pulled off the port-installed fender flares, wasn't a huge deal, now I'm gonna go back out and get the residual tape off.
Was all pumped up to go surf all day but the swell from Delta fizzled out overnight here near where I live so had to switch plans...cutting grass was the pain but fiddling with this truck is quite relaxing.

@ElHefe I was thinking of replacing my rear bumper, a horse stepped on it and it's out of shape. How do you remove the cover like that to see if anything else is jacked up underneat? thanks!

Very easy. Two bolts on the mud flaps per side and four on the rear and the whole thing comes off.

Engle 45 platinum, been an amazing fridge. Doubt I'll even have to purchase another to replace it. And at first it was real tight, but I quickly got used to it. Trying my hardest to use every inch to avoid slipping into buying a trailor. Has worked so far, but we'll see how long it lasts 🤣
