Completed the spare tire mod to gain a little extra clearance. Would have been simple if one of the bolts had not sheared off in the bracket. Removed the bracket, drilled out the hole and luckily had a longer bolt laying around to make it fit. Gained just over an inch due to the charcoal container. Now my 275/70/18 is just above the bottom of the hitch receiver.

How does it connect to the battery? How did you run the wires?

I am going thru the same thing right now. Body shop will be done next week and now safelite want me to move it across town so they can do the work in their shop. It’s been and adventure and a PIA!
MC4 connectors to a two-prong that hooks up to the back of the Rockpals batt.
Wires run down the side of the hatch and the tailgate smushes em into the weather stripping. That part isn't ideal yet but I think it'll work.

Rust-b-gone. Using the spray on Rusto truck bed liner. Coming out good, has a nice texture and little tooth which will be great for the steps.
@heymarv buddy would you be willing to take a side profile that gets the whole rig in the picture from the awning side just so I can see where the awning sits in the rig? I really like 'em. My main reason for these over others was (1): that they attach to the factory roof rack and (2) how close they kept the awning to the body of the car. About as low profile as you get as far as I found.
