Was the torsion bar damaged or just the control arm. Is that why Ironman sells a reinforcement kit? Thanks for sharing.

Adding some 150hz bass blockers to my 80 series dash speakers and wow they are louder and have more clarity.

Strapping up a stage 3 ICON suspension Mrs. REZARF’s 200. Dang I picked a hot week for installing this. Got stalled on missing parts, twice! Haha but I should be jumping her rig through the air Dukes of Hazard style by tomorrow!

no pics?

None yet. I am pooped with this heat, too pooped for pics. I’m ruined, anything above 75* is now miserable to me! Haha

Someday, when I grow up, I want to have a shop with AC.

For @3_puppies here are a few beauty shots.

Picked up a few inches up front and really leveled the truck. @xoverland for the win and a HUGE thanks for supporting the club!

Matt, I would grind and weld some sheet metal. Bondo, fiberglass, spray foam, are all just a band aid. In my youth I sculpted a 68 mustang with gallons of bondo, packing aluminum foil into holes for a backing… poor guy that I sold it to must have cursed me for years as chunks inevitably fell off! Haha!

Can this be packed with Bondo? Asking for a friend.

Matt, don't skimp. put some wire mesh then spray foam it. make sure it's closed cell foam , a little filing and it'll be good for years. the mesh is the secret, hush and don't tell anyone

I always forget how much preparation goes into painting. Been sanding for days and just about ready to shoot some color. Sanding away those old stripes was rough. Stay tuned for a new look.

TOYOTA KYLE MONSTER GREEN!
I don't think I have the inner madness that is Kyle to be the obnoxious green trail machine!

Control arm mainly. Some brackets etc from it coming loose suddenly are damaged. All good. New arms are in the shop and have parts trucks for all brackets / bolts needed.

Can’t make everything to bulletproof. It was great to get the team in problem solving mode and such. Part of the real world experience of it. This was the only hard down truck for the week. A GX blew a CV outer cage then all ball bearings vanished. Fortunately was noticed immediately before full grenade. Removed the center section and got it out the 7 miles in 2wd. Had to winch a couple times. Had spare at base location so it was back in rotation same day.

I washed the sea salt off of my new 80!
If you want some JDM goodies, I’ll be posting some stuff on the for sale thread.
