Project cheap crew max. Going to fully build it as a tool / parts / admin trail rig for next summer. Truck cost less than 2 tires. So I can afford to spend a bunch on the build.

Definitely need to get rid of the fake bead locks on it for Hutchinsons. Got 20 of these rims. Will be nice to put the last 5 in use.

Because it’s an admin truck. I bought a limited wreck today as well. Need the leather etc. truthfully, I mainly wanted the power fold mirrors because it seems like a good choice to be able to press the fold button when truck is becoming a raisin.

Had to spend the day in Missoula to chase down and fix the dreaded EFI fuse contact burn out in the 99 LC100. Read about it earlier as a not too uncommon "cranks but doesn't start" cause and indeed after bypassing this fuse the truck runs again. Funny enough this happened after getting groceries at the Walmart across from the local Toyota dealer. Got a tow across the street to the Toyota dealer but he had a service backlog till end of next week so wouldn't touch it. Fingers crossed the bypass holds for the rest of the trip. If your EFI fuse looks like this it may be the same issue:

went thru this with my 2000 2 years ago, I ran my bypass differently but no issues in the last 2 years

That fuse was hot. So did it heat up from the the pixie's running through it or did the corrosion start first then the heat? Either way the fuse holder also got hot and the copper contacts may no longer have the clamping force to make good continuity with the next fuse.

wife's daily driver quit, crank no start, during troubleshooting, found EFI relay had keyed latching power but no in and out power.
fuses all good. after pulling fuse and swapping, I got power in.
is this the issue other have with the fuse box?
@medtro fix to solve this?
is it the wire out from the fuse to the relay causing issue? as I had power thru the fuse

I'll dig in the fuse box when back at home, probably a combination of both: less clamping force / corrosion started it, resistance starts to build up and heat is the result. Still enjoying the trip though, we entered Montana from Idaho over the Blue Nose lookout / Horse Creek pass trail & hot springs. You guys have awesome trails to run, envious!

Driveway rattle can job is done.
Didn't turn out quite as good as I wanted but it's a trail rig, doesnt have to be perfect.
New wheels and tires and paint sure does help bring the old Runner back to life.
