Or just pull the side screws, lift the console cover and move the lever with your finger.

Cheers

Because it’s the small things in life like oem parts that get me through the day..... with that said I have a small screw driver and multiple random objects I could shove down that tight little hole... in other words some times you have to play with the button before you just go shoving it in.......

Same here, ordered parts from Japan. Would be interested in Sticker when available.

i have the word doc file to make your own sticker... I will be posting it online for people to use. However I was cheap and did a complete DIY home sticker making using moving tape, my printer and a sticker maker from Michael's craft supply.

dang $30.. for a button. I really hope I can forget about this button. You didn’t happen to order any extras did you? I already feel ridiculous for buying a new 12v cigarette lighter bezel and socket holder.

Looks like these are the part numbers. I'm going to order them for my FZJ and see if it works. Only like $20 including shipping.

33563-60020 BUTTON, SHIFT LOCK R
33569-60010 GUIDE, SHIFT LOCK RE
33878-32010 LABEL, SHIFT LOCK IN
90501-06051 SPRING, COMPRESSION
from one of the first posts in this thread - no idea what's still available or not - I installed them on both our '93 80 and the '97 LX a long time ago

if this was it: Toyota 33554-60090-C0 Cover, Shift Lock Release Button, it's NLA (as in "no longer available")

the comparable part in our RX300 looks very similar: 33554-48010 - but since our 80s are 1500 miles away from our RX, I cannot check whether the RX cover would precisely fit an 80 - there may also be other Toyota models that have this cover; I would check the various ~1995 models

for what it's worth: I know for a fact that Lexus GX model neutral safety switch covers will NOT fit an 80
