I was actually thinking the same thing. I have read about ways to do it, but I am curious as to what you used for your in/out switch, did you add an "arming" switch to prevent accidental use, etc. basically, just curious as to how you put it all together @jason in tn
I had one wired up a few years ago. Basically you use both an arming switch for safety and a momentary toggle switch for in out.

Just removed the p.o.'s fast and furiousness out of the 4runner's headlight system. Bye bye chinese hid.
Pretty basic, like Ted mentioned I used 2 switches, a single throw single pole toggle switch for safety, for the control switch I used a Rear Window switch out of a 3rd gen runner, I chose to use it because there are plenty of blank spots in my runner to pop it in, I choose a spot in the center console vacated by a switch for the ATC, I used a old extension cord I had laying around because it was 3 wires already sheathed. I pulled power straight from the battery lug on the winch solenoid, after that it was just a matter of figuring out what post did what in the solenoid box and wiring it up.

Correction, it was pretty simple AFTER calling tech support, to find out how to test the switch to find out what pin did what.
I honestly figured most folks were smarter than me and could skip that step.
After nearly 5 years of owning it I finally have a functioning windshield washer. Thanks @ugamurph for finding the harness I needed, still only took another 6 months.
I recovered my seats and put in seat heaters on Thanksgiving, now that it's warm out, I got around to actually wiring them up. Also replaced the 12v lighter with a Bluesea USB converter. Wish both switches were the correct orientation but it doesn't bug me too much.

I was about to ask where the stripes went! Looking good, Rocky.
I will be leaving here around 5 or 530 Friday morning. Should be at Hawk Pride around 8 or earlier.
I dunno rock, I kinda preferred the Zebra stripes. It screamed "Rocky was here" whenever you saw it but at least you taped off the key hole.

I'm not a fan of mods that are purely cosmetic and that don't provide an off road or performance benefit. I'll make exception with this one. I picked it up yesterday.
