Looking good Andy. How much $ for a set??
YOu should talk to him in person about those. :bang:

I put the 80 steering wheel into the Gazoo and got the fuel tank switch valve mounted.

looks good Andy, I have been told they are a pita to do. And did you get new shoes???

Drove the 60 to Nick's house to help out with a 4Runner lift. I had to make two trips, so I racked up about 3/4 of a mile in the 60.

CMCC2012

Prep'd the truck for CMCC. The plan is for me not to wheel, but for Melissa to be the pilot. With her at the helm as student driver, we will be on the easiest bunny trails so damage should not be in the picture.

Due to the heat wave and facing a 12 hour drive, I installed a couple of extra fans for more air movement. Carolyn laughed at it and called it a poor man air conditioning. If it helps keep us cooler, her laughter will be music on this one.

Just finished up pulling the radiator out of the 80! Dad came by for a little moral support and a extra hand.He is gonna take it tomorrow and see if it can be fixed. It wasn't too bad since I put one in my 94 about 3 months ago. Gonna call Fox Toyota in the morning and get a couple hoses, thermostat and water pump while I'm at it. Thanks Lowe Toyota for my new belts at GSMTR. It pays to pull a 2wd Tundra pulling a Troopy up the hill at GMP :)

All I got was my new tow stap ran over and drug on the pavement.

So Chris, what did she teach you? How to live with a lot of pain after she cleaned your clock!

That I do not need a BJ73? That I could lift a truck with a novice in the rain without ever losing my kewl? :D

Loaded the 40 on the trailer to take it to Coal Creek tomorrow.

Finally got my radiator, water pump, thermostat, and hoses back on! I let it run for about 25 min and everything seemed to be ok. Hate I miss the CC ride too.

Ha! I just saw this! You're welcome btw. I really appreciate the help.

It pays to not try to pull a 11ty million pound Troopy up a hill in the dark, after it rained, that's partly gravel, etc, etc, etc, excuses, excuses, "should've bought a 4wd truck", etc.

I've been to GMP before and been up that hill in my wife's old 2wd 4Runner. I should've known better and unloaded that sled at the bottom of the hill. The Tundra pulled the steep grades up and down the mountains like a champ though. :D

Had a few minutes to spend on the 60 yesterday. Air cleaner assembly removed. PS pump drained. Getting ready to swap pumps. I think I will put the other pump on, verify it works and drive it for a little bit and enjoy the Fall weather. Then get started on the desmog/header install.

Replaced clutch slave again. Gave up on ones from parts stores and ordered one from Sam @Lowe Toyota. Tried to patch the hole in one of my mufflers that only lasted a couple hours now it sounds like a tractor again. Guess I'm gonna have to break down and have them replaced.

Sounding like a tractor is not a bad sound for a Cruiser. What do you want it to sound like? A Smartcar?
Yea i would take the sound of a smart car over this. Until recently i alway had pretty quiet exhaust and i was more often than not the trail leader, i got to see a lot of wildlife that others didnt and always enjoyed that. after this last motor swap the damn thing sounded like a fing nascar and i thought that was about as bad as it could get until now. the only thing worse than a cheap muffler is a cheap muffler with a hole in it!
