I have a light bar for a FJC that hasn't sold so I'm thinking about putting it on my FJC later today or tomorrow... :hhmm: Gonna be doing a night run at URE next weekend so it might come in handy.

Got some new tires mounted up

Ok here you guys go with some flex shots, got about 3 feet in the front and around 3.75 in the rear. I felt it could easily go higher but was doing it by myself so didn't feel safe without another set of eyes.

These things ride a ton better than the last set although I think it may be the re-centered wheels that was giving me some wobble with the previous two sets of tires..... they are a little louder though but hey.... right now for me they are perfect. I'll see how they wheel in december if I manage to get the lockers hooked up, if not Andrea is bugging me to drive so I'll have to see what she feels safe driving on. I have a tire groover ready if needed. :grinpimp:

1.5" spacers may be in the future...... that and some longs

Replaced the 100Amp relay for my compressor and sealed up all the fittings for the airhorn valve. Cleaned up some of the old wiring and now it runs like it should - all the way up to 145psi.

Where was it?

The radiator itself was leaking behind the fan shroud where I couldn't see it. All the way at the top on the driver's side and would evaporate before it got to the bottom. Here's what make me really ill: the radiator is OEM, less than two years old and cost around $500. I decided to buy OEM because the first one last more than 175k miles. I figured aftermarket gave a lifetime warenty because it was an inferior product. If it leaked, they'd give you a new one. Well, I didn't want to do the job again so I went with what I thought was a better product. Hopefully RHT will give me something back for it. $500 for less than two year's service (warenty or not) is pathetic. I never thought to check the radiator itself because it was new and OEM. Chasing demons that didn't exist.:bang:

I sure hope you have longfields and poly performance in the tubes or you will be doing some major "uh oh" wrenching and limping home with that much tire.

I registered my new GA tag for the GX470:

"GX4X470"

oh, and I am taking it in for some work at ACC on Tuesday morning :)

I saw skids and suspension parts from Iron Man that I thought may be for your LX. Mum was the word from the guys in the shop. That's the reason I figured it was yours. Will you either confirm or deny?

It's a GX, not an LX. Aaaaaand...maybe :)

Will you ever find it in your heart to forgive me? Saw some wrangler mtrs too in the same general pile...

ordering a knuckle rebuild kit for a disk axle tomorrow along with new calipers and rotors

hopefully get the axle next sat and get the locker installed/knuckles rebuilt mon/tues and then axles installed along with dual circuit master cylinder installed by the end of the month.

and maybe get my newly rebuilt tc installed sometime before the Dec URE trip.

4runner caliper upgrade?

What year 4 runner calipers are a diret fit for a 76 fj40

The good ones are the 95 4wd v6 calipers they should have 4 40mm pistons in them.

Last line of my post ;)

If it happens it happens and i'll save to get some, got enough spares around here right now.
These aren't that much heavier than my last set.

Yeah, I found every weak link the Avocado once I went to 37 IROKs. Longs and Poly rears saved the day.

Being FF all around is nice. I drove home in 1,2,3, and 4 WD in the past. :)

Enjoy!
