Don't listen to Marshall, Gabe, he's just jealous....thanks JP

I got the Moonroof in the 80 working, it was only going up and down.

I pulled the switch and took the rocker out ( it is directional specific) to clean the contacts and found out it was a semi sealed unit, it appeared I could not get to the contacts from under the rocker. It also appeared the back was fairly a permanent installation.
I re-installed the switch and used my trusty jumper paperclip to figure out which leads did what (retract from close, close from retracted, lift from down and down from lifted).

Once it retracted a few times I lubed the rails and rollers and it moves much better. The switch is sticky and you have to hold the pressure on it fairly hard. I might re attempt opening the switch to clean the contacts after my beach trip.

Now that it is daylight I will also hunt down the awful scratching noise it is making while retracting...

I wheeled the hell out of my 62 at GSMTR...but the tree won...pics to follow.

hardwired the cigarette lighter in the 80 so it stays on when the vehicle is turned off...

Finally got the winch in the bumper and back in the truck. Didn't have much luck straightening bumper but now got to pull it all off and see if will clear the valance panel. Then it will be time for paint.

Replaced the spring bushings on the 45.… thinking they were due for it :)

What do working on YOUR cruiser? What gives?

Looks nice Marshal, I have thought abotu swaping one of those in the rear of our 4runner instead of the current 3rd row so I could move it when we need the space loading things. I'm loving the RAINBOW bumpersticker inside the 40.

it was the first thing that caught my eye........................and thats a nice seat too

Well while having to wait on new hoses I am at a standstill for the week, so last night my buddy came over and we put in the new role cage. Fits nicely, have to get some 1/4" plate to put on the underside for the front plates to bolt to and it'll be ready.

How long have you had that fj...it looks familiar

A long time...looong time

No big plans for her as this will be Kitty's new dd. Might add some step sliders though. Also need to tone down the window tint that's on there...can't see jack at night.

Nice, like the tundra wheels
