AM30’s with the Chris king hubs. Not a fan of the looks of the hubs but man they grew on me. Silky smooth on the downhills!
So far the rims are holding up great.

Thanks for the feedback. Looking to get a set before the full on riding season starts next year.

Picked this bike up off local CL. PO rode the piss out of it, and offloaded due to the impending full-tune and BB replace quote he received.

Swapped the full housing and cables, serviced the rear hub and pulled the BB for replacement.

Waiting to reinstall and dial in shifting and put some outside miles in. Fit is currently maxxed out so the bike may get sold after some test miles.

Update: performed necessary work to this bike, test spins around the neighborhood confirmed poor fit.needed +2cm height a the saddle, and a few -cm's for saddle setback, the seatmast and iso couplers was wiggling under my weight (175#). They call that 'compliance' and it def takes some getting used to.

Sold it to a young gun yesterday and hope he has a blast with it.

Looks like your bike is about to get popular, since Allied will be supplying Kate Courtney's new She Sends racing team. Hope she can get fast again 🤣
Haha. I know, right? I followed her on instagram for the past few years, but when Scott dropped her, so did I.

Allied is the new sponsor, solid setup for her new venture.

I support the athletes first, not necessarily the brands who've paid them, particularly when they're monster global corps.

Everything I read about the contract ending with Scott seemed amicable/professional, but that may have been pinkbike PR.

Well, she had her golden 18 months or so riding for Specialized, not Scott.

It's hard to be an elite athlete, but it's gotta be even harder to be a female elite athlete. I think she has too much of a life to ever stand on the podium on a consistent basis again, but I like that her team is focused on bringing girls into the sport. My daughter was inspired by KC when she was getting into the sport (when KC was on a tear). So I'll be following. Plus I've been planning to get on the list for a BC40 next time I'm in Bentonville ever since seeing @flipinidaho 's whip last summer in this thread

Right on, it seemed like there was a negative sentiment towards her most recent departure (Scott).

I will continue to follow her journey. Allied has been a fun one to watch grow as well, (Arkansas based bike business and community too) .

I agree with what you’ve said here, and also highlight that especially in a discipline that is not entirely ‘team based’ the focus is even more squarely focused on the individual . Major pressure.

The industry certainly has seemed to have shifted away from podiums and towards who the athletes are/align with, but I can only imagine ‘fast’ continues to drive sales.

That’s my feeling. Professional courtesy. After her first year or two of World bashing results, she just wasn’t the same. She lost that winning streak. How long would a team want to support that?

They look great! No more choppy, but I get it when they’re hard to maneuver through a standard door.

I got some 800mms for the e-mtb (mainly due to 35mm clamp and kid bars/lights/bells/computer/togs.
