Iowa, Ohio, Texas....whatever. They're practically the same.

@onedaatmc, I'm not bashing the stockers, just @LS1FJ40.

There's a reason behind every change we make to these rigs and pros and cons that go with each. Some of the reasons are weak attempts to hide the 17 year old inside. Only the guy paying for the change knows why, and only has to answer to his own retirement fund. It's all good, I've just been stating opinions, and throwing in some friendly jabs for good measure.

Utah was beautiful...in my rearview mirror!

I donated my running boards to @reevesci

And don't forget your factory roof rack! What are those going for nowadays @surfpig?

I finally gave up on fixing my flares and yanked them off.

They all showed evidence of at least three attempts to fix; each time made it worse.

Now to seal up the holes, paint it in bed liner and manufacture
some small home made flares to make it legal.
Interested in your idea for homemade flares. I've been thinking this over too, I just haven't came up with anything.

Post them up with your 3rd row seats!

I gave mine to the garbage man

I posted them for $500 with the brackets and the boards with brackets for $100 ... but I can almost guarantee the boards might end up where yours went ...

probably keep the roof rack ... I can probably tie a tarp off it and have a "corntooth" awning ! ha

They are both in my BIG PILE OF SCRAP GOING TO THE DUMP! :) That pile is getting bigger and bigger as I get closer to my close down date.

just thinking ...( may be dangerous ) ha ... I could cut both boards in half and have wannabe recovery boards !!!... just looked at them ... that plastic part comes off the boards ...easy macguivered or janky recovery boards ! ;) the lil nibs on the reverse side would work for traction, and I'd just screw them to 2 - 2x6's ... oh yes and my Christmas lights are on the house all year ... lol

Engine braking will never stop a vehicle as well as using the actual brakes. The brakes are designed to stop the vehicle utilizing all four wheels/tires to their maximum potential. Braking distribution through the differentials when using engine braking isn't nearly as effective. The only time engine braking will work better is when you're in a situation where the brakes may overheat.

You cannot stop any car without using the brakes even if it is 10x10 and use engine braking. You most certainly have to step on the brake pedal, but using engine braking the wheels will not lock up, but will slow down in a more controlled fashion.

just noticed lx 450 3rd seats are going for $600 on ebay ...

but I'm gonna make recovery boards out of the board inserts... maybe ...and strap them to my factory rack ... maybe ... but the last thing I wanna do is buy some heavy rack to replace the factory one ... more weight = go slower...
