Iowa, Ohio, Texas....whatever. They're practically the same.
@onedaatmc, I'm not bashing the stockers, just @LS1FJ40.
There's a reason behind every change we make to these rigs and pros and cons that go with each. Some of the reasons are weak attempts to hide the 17 year old inside. Only the guy paying for the change knows why, and only has to answer to his own retirement fund. It's all good, I've just been stating opinions, and throwing in some friendly jabs for good measure.![]()
Interested in your idea for homemade flares. I've been thinking this over too, I just haven't came up with anything.I finally gave up on fixing my flares and yanked them off.
They all showed evidence of at least three attempts to fix; each time made it worse.

Now to seal up the holes, paint it in bed liner and manufacture
some small home made flares to make it legal.
Post them up with your 3rd row seats!

Engine braking will never stop a vehicle as well as using the actual brakes. The brakes are designed to stop the vehicle utilizing all four wheels/tires to their maximum potential. Braking distribution through the differentials when using engine braking isn't nearly as effective. The only time engine braking will work better is when you're in a situation where the brakes may overheat.
Oh ok ... I was just trying to figure out what it said ... no worries... don't know forum lingo ...
Never had one!
