I changed oil today, and ditched my FRAM oil filter for a Bosch 3330.

I found a new oil filter wrench end that, when combined with a 4" 3/8" extension, actually makes removing the filter easy.

Approximately $10. My life has been dramatically changed. This thing is amazing.

That might scratch the filter paint though! :flipoff2:

Took the family and the 80 to Hacienda Napoles. What used to be Pablo Escobar's haven. That dude had a lot of space to wheel....
Glad he is dead. He really made mi life misserable at some point....

Yeah, I can only imagine. He is often portrayed as this hero instead of the savage he was.

Thanks for understand this. He was no hero. The trail of dead was horrible. I lost friends and family because of this guy. Yesterday was somehow a way of healing bad memories seeing happy people enjoy what it is now a theme park.

Love the Burro with Zebra running gear upgrade. :D
And possibly the Horse has Zebra rear diff.

I replaced the window track rubber on both passenger doors using some great info I found on here. Thanks people! Also reset the rear window in the metal bracket as it had popped out. Both windows operate much faster and smoother now.

I also ordered front seat covers from Cabela's. Much more affordable than the CoverKing tactical covers I was going to order but I'm sure they're not the same quality or as cool. Budgets suck.

Since my last post I went "snow off roading".

Gawd there are a lot of non-drivers out there. Evidently there is a belief among some people that driving with the gas pedal and brake fully depressed is the way to go on ice and snow.

Saw an Italian guy total his car by burning through a drive tire trying to get up a slope. Literally set the tire on fire, after which he did two complete 360s and slid off the road. When the tire finally came apart, it took out every body panel on the pax side of the car. A little FIAT POS.

Enjoyed not getting hit by some idiot; solved the problem by not driving on the actual road. Took this cool picture.

I tore into the old mountain goat to chase my valve cover and dist o-ring oil leaks and install my boxes and boxes of parts I have accumulated the last year and a half.

The game plan: New fuel filter, new fuel sock, new fuel regulator, new fuel injectors, reman alt as mine is going out (still charging but dimming lights horribly with other accessories on), new belts, new intake hose, increasing from 10k to 15k cst for the fan clutch, all new firewall and radiator hoses, rad cap, a sweet TEQ oil cap, fuel cap, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and fresh oil change, new battery cables from @Fourrunner, and my BH3D TEQ front emblem from @bhicks.

The last couple days I have been wrenching an hour or two at a time due to helping out with the one month old. I got the upper plenum off, removed alternator, removed distributor/installed new o-ring, got the valve cover off, removed alternator, removed and draining the fan clutch, removed distributor/ re-installed with new o-ring. The spark plugs looked great, no indication of steam cleaning. I "should have" done the head gasket tests but there has never been any indication of problems in that department (insert knock on wood smiley here). Today I will remove fuel rail, fuel filter, filter sock, and installing my new battery cables.

Now I am going to consider junking my EGR the "mostly Toyota way" ;) I am already in there so I am highly considering removing the pipe, grinding out a block off plate, and ridding myself of this monstrosity if i can get to the bolts for the egr tube. I was just into the Mountain Goat I will assess if it can be done with lower intake on or if I should just pull the lower intake since I am already so close.

Decisions decisions. A "build" thread with a lot of pictures to follow. My overdue PM thread.

That's pretty funny. I wonder what someone would say if they looked under your hood.

Also, what happened to the site? I spend a few days in the real world and things get changed.

Who makes it? Where did you find it?

Well due to the parts guy at my shop, the old Puddle Destroyer is down until Tuesday. Gave him the VIN for a crankshaft seal and oil pump seal. Oil pump seal is correct however the crankshaft seal is not. Somehow he ordered the seal for a 92. Too bad too I was making record time. I had the crankshaft seal out in 30 minutes. The oil pump seal took me 1.5 hr as I had to drill the screws out. I even pulled the radiator, fan and shroud to use a impact screwdriver and wouldn't come free. Both were definitely part of my leak concern so hopefully a PCV, valve cover gasket, some hoses and a rear main seal and my leaks should be all cured.
