Are you able to just press out the inner sleeve first. Then use the sawzall to cut through the rubber and outer sleave? Been able to to that with other Toyota control arm bushings.started to replace my front control arm bushings. dropped the passenger side anchor 1st.

i already have OEM bushings from Beno ready to go in once i figure out how to get the old ones out. i think i'll cut the rubber around the inner bushing sleeve and then make a cut in the metal outer sleeve to aid in the removal process. my 12 ton HF press cannot get them out as is.
Yes, of course, you can press them out. They are in there reeeeeaaaally good, though. It'll give a 20 ton press a run for it's money!Ist it possible to remove them with a press? Something that applies constant pressure.? Just a thought...

the rear control arms with a 20 ton were scary an loud as hell. Hate to think what those big bushings behave like.It takes a 20 ton and it's scary as hell. I would rather use a sawzall next time.

Here's some weird questions:It's Turkey Day! Washed the rig and drove out to Thanksgiving dinner. So nice to have carpet on the cargo drawers, even if its just sitting loose. After 7 hrs in the loaded cruiser this weekend I have a longer to do and wish list.
