I've been patiently waiting for this awesome roof rack, but running out patient and looking more at Prinsu since it's readily available.
HELP ME HERE BOWFIN..
Ya, I’m pretty sure it had been months since stock was last listed before I got mine in July. My advice would be to subscribe to the Bowfin thread here on Mud as he usually announces the day before when more will go up.

Going back together!

Picked up a 93 today, and this was the collection of stickers on the right rear window.

Kind of neat to see what things cost back in 1993. I bought my first house in 1993, and if I recall, that cost me $48K for a brand new three bedroom, two bath house in Nebraska.

To put things in prospective, I bought a new 93 Ford Explorer for around $16K

I was in the same boat last year...wanted the Bowfin but didn't want to keep waiting and I ended up getting the Prinsu and saving over $300. It's been working just great! The latches are a lot better on the Bowfin but I haven't had any problems so far....and saving $300 is nice ! 😁

Hard to believe that a premium stereo with 9 speakers costing 1K in 1993 could sound sooo bad....

I don't think Toyota and Stereo can be used in the same sentence, except my 21 HE has the best sound system I've yet to hear in a vehicle. Mind you, after listening to jet engines for 20 years, my hearing is not the best anymore.

I think Toyota and Sirius/XM are in cahoots as both my Tundra and Tacoma have the worst radio reception of any radio I've played with, even worse than a tube radio from the 30's.

Have you actually listened to a tube radio (AM) from the 1930's?

Looks great, mine recently broke and have a replacement handy. Any tips on getting alignment perfect?
I just recently did all the rear emblems after painting. Mark the centerline of the hatch with the left hand edge of a piece of tape (59.25”/2). Then mark the centerline of the emblem, left edge with tape (29.125”/2). Remove the backing. Line up the two tape edges to ensure centerline and use fingers to align bottom edge. Press in place.

Yes, I actually have one, think it was made in 1949? Let me try and dig up a picture. It works surprisingly well for it's age.

Edit - here's what I have, but a little better condition.

We had one similar.

I'm used the the AM tube radio in my Studebaker. So I think the piss-poor one in my LC is great!

In 1966, my Dad bought a new Mercury Comet convertible. It didn't have a factory radio (deleted?), So he pulled this huge tube radio out of another older vehicle, and mounted it behind the back seat because it was soo big, there was no way to mount it in the dash. I remember as a kid, jumping in the back seat, and looking over the back tuning that radio. It really pulled in quite a few radio stations back then.

Unfortunately the one in my Studebaker no longer works.

I want to see if my boys can figure out how to change the radio stations......

Jeep behind me wasn't quite as flexy and nearly flopped it dropping off the obstacle.

Turns out if you're sitting on your front diff, rear diff and center skid at the same time no amount of throttle or gearing will get you out.

Only minor carnage. Somehow managed to blow the O2 sensor out.

I definitely enjoy the completely debadged look on mine.

Getting ready for Rubithon.
  • Testing out Kong rear bump stops
  • Chopped & plated frame with the new 4x4labs front bumper
  • Trimmed the rear wheel well a little - not brave enough to cut my fenders off
  • Tuning the new 3-link suspension
Thanks @Outsane for the help!
