How heavy is that handle going to be? I hope it's hollow :)

Yeah it's hallow and open on one side. It's pretty thick though. I haven't taken off the old handle yet but I can imagine there will be a huge difference.

Edit: here is goes installed on the hi lift after rebuilding it. Nice new springs, sliders and shear pins. I was short on clip so had to reuse the one for the handle. These don't work after use. Oh well, maybe I will thread the new handle and use a screw instead.

Looks good on there! Glad it made the trip!

Very nice indeed. Can't wait to see the OB water/shower install. Good minds on the project so it will be bad as% I'm sure and fitting to the truck!

Just gathering all the pieces now. The ARB is a big part of my projects so I'm happy it's finally going under the knife next weekend.

Sold the arb winch bullbar and installed the stocker back on. I also installed some z34 hood vents. They're a little foreward of where I wanted but less cutting hood supports.

Fourwheelparts.com sponsored a 4x4 convention in town last week and after talking to the ARB rep and begging him...:o... I got an ARB front bumper for $833 out the door... :) He gave us a bunch of good deals on some Recovery Gear package and some other stuff as well... Thanks Nick...

I went to bug my uncle yesterday and we installed it... He was working on his 62...

I have no winch and fog lamps for for now but that will be the next as soon as I receive my tax refund :D:mad:...

Got my 315 KM2's put on my stock height truck... lift to follow shortly once I decide which... OME, TJM, Ironman

Got my running boards off and installed a Pioneer AVH-X1500 unit. Sounds and looks great, I was able to match the button colors to the dash lights

Love it mate...

Love it, ARB being an Aussie company and we here would have to pay double that :(

I love it... It's the best mod/add on I've done so far. I'm not a gear head but the installation process was easy as 1-2-3.... It was ready in no time. Now the next problem is when I get a winch...

Now that sucks if you have to pay double the price...

I washed the 80 this weekend and almost crashed it going there. So here in Minneapolis the weather is getting a little bit better...the sun a bit stronger and warmer. It was a nice sunny day but very deceiving as it would melt the snow and ice where it was exposed, run down to a shady spot and then freeze on the road causing much mayhem. I was rounding a 2 lane corner on ramp, me being on the inside and hit that ice and started drifting right towards another car...was quick on the wheel trying to correct and then hit the dry road sending me almost straight into the guard rail. More correcting (my hands must have been flying on that steering wheel) and barely, just barely managed not to smash into the guard rail....WHEW!!!..
kept going and got it washed..it's beautiful and still in one piece!

Has STAINLESSDOCTOR make me up a new hi lift jack handle.

Me too! I snuck a picture in my "flopped" thread last week but it went un-noticed. Still need to polish it to make it purdy like yours.

Yeah mines way cooler :flipoff2:

I just gave it to one of my manual machinists. They thru it on a lathe and polished it. Took no time at all.

It was interesting that he chose the Drummer Boy Quarter. Pretty cool, dunno if he knew it or not.

If he were going to make more I would recommend using the state quarters. I would love another one with the California quarter on it :P

CAN DO.......

Finished up my roof rack project. Finished painting the rack and sealing the holes in my roof from the stock rack. Then threw it up there! Turned out pretty good but it took a lot longer to clean up the rack than I thought. When you figure in all your time, sometimes I wonder the value of refurbishing vs buying new. I figure I saved about half the cost of new and right now I got (slightly) more time than money!

Looks like a nice find! Now lift that thing and take off the hood visor...
I bought it! Then took it to the mountains for some fun in the snow with my wife and two kids. :steer:

Upcoming cheap fixes: Remove visor, black out gold emblems, swap tires from my fj40 to this, (if they fit) alternator and fix windows.

Expensive projects: Get seat tears fixed, ($300) rear bumper, rock sliders, lift, snorkel, stereo/nav and fix my Land Rover, sell it and buy an expedition trailer.

New Power Stop rotors and pads for the rear, with new/refurb OEM calipers, and a rear axle rebuild.

Nice and shiny! Report back how well they handle dirt buildup and such.
