Oaks, I should know, but...
Is your rig lifted, and did you put a spacer under the load sensing valve on the rear axle if so?
I finally added one inch spacer under mine, and the brakes are night and day better!

Mine was leaking badly so I removed it and put in a proportioning valve. They work fantastic now!

My truck is stock! I am leaning towards an internal leak on the master cylinder. Any tips for confirming this?
 
Evicted Goss' green 40 shopmate and got him a new one.. Even Charlie thinks it was a good idea.. He jumped in the back of the cleaned out 40 and sniffed around.. Then went on his merry way.

Cleaned up some more and ready for another fun filled fab week...

When I say I have a lot of project to finish I mean lots of projects on one rig! When J says he has lots of projects he means multiple rigs all at the same time! Lol. First world problems..

I need to hurry and make some more room. I do have another 5000sq ft of storage behind the shop, BUT.. I bought a '75-40 the other day.. :meh: Bought it mainly for the fiberglass top, drop tailgate and oh yeah the 8274 winch.

Going to try and get all I can done by early summer.. May be rolling out on a project........ TBD...

Peddle travel, rear shoe adjusters....

I'm on 33s and it stops as well as our modern vehicles now, it took a while, but they can be good.
 
Changed a bad blower motor resistor in the '84 and replaced the old tired power steering fluid with Dextron III I found on the back of a shelf in the garage. Also changed coolant and upper radiator hose, which had gone soft.

If your fan doesn't work on all speeds and you need a resistor, Toyota has discontinued them (per Beno) but O'Reilly's sells one. It is a little pricey at around $50 but it was bugging me so I went for it. Mine would only work on the two highest speeds.

Power steering pump was groaning a little and the new fluid put a stop to that. I used my Mightyvac vacuum brake bleeder to suck the old fluid out, went for a drive, and repeated the process 4 more times until it was nice and clean.
 
I towed 2000# of firewood and trailer in a snowstorm, offroad, up steep hills (with a running start). At 7000' elevation, the old 3FE was howling for mercy to get this load moving up to speed when I got back out to the paved roads. If I did this kind of towing regularly, or for long distances, it would be behind my PowerChoke, not behind the wheezing FJ62, but it was fun.
 
Installed my CB and hooked it up to a PA speaker that I mounted under my hood for s***s and giggles. Whole thing took 2 hours and less than $50. Pretty fun to mess around with friends

Looks great man! My 62 is the same color and I was going to tint my windows last summer, but it cooled off before I got the chance. Once it warms back up I'll get around to it. What percentage did you go with? I think I was going to do 20% or 15% all around[/QUOTE]
 
@Mitch Powell Thanks man! I really liked the old school look with no tint but with the heat here and how bad the old tint was I decided to go for it. I also figured it'd keep the interior in good shape by decreasing effects of sun. I can't find my receipt but the backs are the tint right below limo so maybe 20%? And the 2 front door windows are 15%. I Like it a lot The tint place told me it would take 2 hrs. It took 4. The had a heck of a time getting old tint off. I'm glad I let them do it! Lol.
