Dinner and a great sunset with my girl in the cruiser!

Also installed a ram mount to hold my iPad for nav purposes; a little 'old school meets new school' if you will.

Delorme Inreach mated to WiFi only iPad (via bluetooth) for navigation. Running MotionX with downloaded/cached maps. Going to use this set up to navigate the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route next month.

Finished up some body work for a friend. This is before the clear was sprayed.

I can give a great recommendation for http://www.automotivetouchup.com/. This is the third time I have used the ready to spray Urethane and every time the color match has been spot on. However, this is the first time I have used a ready to spray metallic paint and the results were great! Big sigh of relief when you pull off the tape and the color matches!!

Sprayed 4 coats of clear this morning and will finish it up this week. Love that new paint smell at 5am.

Please excuse my less than fancy spray booth. It has worked fine for several years but I sure wish I had a nice place to paint. It would save me lots of wet sanding.

You took the time to remove the lights, badges, and lock but left the tailgate light installed?

:cool:Whoop whoop, it's the mud police. Pull over and explain yourself.

The tailgate light is covered by automotive tape. They tend to get out of whack when removed. I leave them in place and tape around it correctly.

It's nice to hear a good review of automotovetouchup. They are local to NOLA and I plan on using them when I finally get to the point where I can paint. I had planned on using them just for tint when I was was toying around with tinting Monstaliner but now I'm leaning more towards a real, single stage paint job in 8b2 blue once I get done with body work.

@txnight @LATechCruiser - I have used Automotive Touchup as well. Even with my 861 Light Blue Metallic color code, I am satisfied. Probably going to need to order more.

yes, they package everything well and it usually takes about 6 business days for it to arrive.

I have done monstaliner, single stage and bc/cc. I keep coming back to the bc/cc because the materials these days make it so easy to spray.
However, for the money it is hard to beat single stage.

8b2 blue is a great dark blue. Classic

No need to get offended. Just sayin', not hatin'

Pinittowinit - you nailed it, looks like a really great job. That colour really does look good when new. J

My 87 came from the PO without the front sway bar or any frame mounts, so today I fabricated mounts and extended sway bar links. Once My poly bushings get in everything gets a coat of black paint. This wont be a rock crawler even if it's sitting on 37's. Really wanted to make it smoother on the twisty roads in north Idaho. Crappy flip phone pics attached.

Did a little trail riding this weekend. My camera crapped out for some reason and I lost all my videos, so all I had to work with was a couple my buddy happened to take. So here's a short clip I made of it...enjoy.

It's monstaliner, correct not headliner or carpet. I haven't noticed any sound difference or heat. Nor did I pay attention. My drivetrain is super quiet. You can't even hear my truck running while sitting in it or standing next to it.
To me the extra noise or heat is worth not having carpet. As much as I go to the beach, dogs, kid, dirtbikes, ect the ease of cleaning far outweighs the cons.
