no worky on the rig this weekend, had to shoot to down the old farts state south of here. Anyway, ya gotta love the parking skills demonstrated by some little ol' lady next to me in the publix shopping center, she had no clue where she was.

Wow thanks for posting that. I thought I was a bad welder until now.

what're ya sayin'? I didn't even have to move the fire putter outer thingy.

So Dan

What is your next project vehicle?

My 2000 100 series. Won't be nearly the project. Just a moderately built truck to take the family out for mild wheeling and camping.

I had ACC weld me a bracket to install my FJ40 license plate holder inside my rear spare tire on my tire carrier. Looks pretty rad.

Project #1 finished.

Got the snorkel installed and plumbed up. Air cleaner modified, bondo'd and painted.

waterproof?

Ben,

You sure that connection in the first picture is waterproof?

Ben,

You sure that connection in the first picture is waterproof?

Nope, but it's not 100% complete. I need to put some sealant or rubber on the intake and reconnect the hose, that ought to do well enough after all its not a submarine.

Better idea

We have a lake down the road he could try:hhmm:

I bought my FJ-62 this weekend. 200k, bad transmission, interior and exterior are in phenomenal shape otherwise.

Gonna do a Rodney flush and get that transmission cleaned out real weel and see if I can ward off an outright replacement. Al in all, not bad for $1500. I put some pics up in the 60-Series registry thread.

Looking forward to getting her up and running properly, then hitting some trails in the spring. Anyone on the west side feel free to hit me up.
