Mormon lake riding all weekend

I wish I had discovered my leaking radiator a few months ago. Driveway wrenching in June is a sweaty job. I’d also forgot how much you need to remove to swap out a radiator.

Special fun is to decide you need new belts and that you should have thought about it when ordering parts the week before.

When did TRAD start putting on these radiator caps?

Ross, we feel the pain. Every routine r&r job snowball's into an avalanche. "Could have saved a bunch on shipping."
And if you think you may need that extra part, you wont, and it will take up extra space on your bench for years.

Wait,... isn't this how we rationalize ordering extra stuff that sits on our work bench for years taking up space? For awhile there, I was ordering Front Brake Pads every time I'd order something else, and then I realized I had 3 sets of Front Brake Pads stacked up, and Oil Filters next to them. I won't even mention the Rx7 pads and filters stacked next to those, either...

Got the Vintage Air unit fully plumbed up with a/c hoses and heater hoses. Got the wiring to the battery all connected and protected with the circuit breaker.
Added a diode to the PCM ground wire for the high speed dual fan and connected it all to the a/c trinary pressure switch.
Fun stuff trying to logically connect the Vintage Air to the logic in the gm engine (lm7) computer.
Key turned to ON and the fan works..., he'll yeah.
Now I just need to add the R134a to it and play with the computers tune so it knows what a/c coolant pressures to react to...
Hence, NeVrDun

Had Thursday and Friday off and even though it has been 11000 degrees I got after it and off my a$$. Blew the head gasket on the Debbie the Hood Rat Beotch a long time ago and have been playing car games since then.

3Fe is coming out and LS with a 4L60E is going in. I want to be able to pull my boat and drive everyday without adjusting valves and parking over a pan. rebuild and replace prices on a 3FE are insane and then you are back into a tractor motor that might stay cool in the summer.

Gonna do what you should do with all old Toyota 4x4s when the motor runs out, put an American V8 in it.

3FE and automatic trans for sale ...BTW

Finally installed the Loncky steering wheel cover in the 200. Was about a 5 hour project. Most of the time was doing the sewing (I have bad vision and can be a little anal, so it took longer than expected).
Turned out nice and feels great.
The photo I took of it in the 200 was too dark, sorry.
For $65 and 5 hours on a Saturday, I am pleased. No more flaking leather all over my hands.

A reminder: Remove your tools from the drawers in the back of the truck, BEFORE you disconnect the batteries.
